Holy Cow, this is scary! Read this:
The FDA approved Ortho Evra in 2001 as the first transdermal contraceptive patch, and today it remains the only birth control patch on the market. Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical (a division of Johnson & Johnson) has been actively marketing and selling the Ortho Evra patch, despite knowledge that it carries an increased risk of blood clots and other complications when compared with the traditional birth control pill.
Recently, the FDA disclosed that the excessive levels of estrogen delivered by the Ortho Evra patch can cause serious injuries including death to the women who use it.
I’ve never used the ortho evra patch, but some of my friends or family members might have, I don’t know! I always used birth control pills, and sometimes it was a pain to have to stop what I was doing to go find the pack and take one at the exact same time every day, so I can see why a patch you just stick on and forget about for three weeks every month would be a convenient alternative. But geez louise, an increased risk of blood clots? Serious injuries including death?
So, now what do you do if you did take ortho evra and have had side effects? Well, the first thing you should consider is getting a free consultation from a lawyer to see if you have a case. The image below is a screenshot of the actual form that can be filled out to get advice regarding your risks and options relating to the use of Ortho Evra. Ladies, please spread the word to your family and friends and have them fill out this form if they need to. Let’s keep everyone safe here.

It is very scary, indeed. I hope women are getting the help they need through this.
Cynthia-Me too. I am so glad I never used Ortho Evra, because I would be petrified right now.
Hello! Good Site! Thanks you! diwuqvzfqkl
Hey there,
When I saw “Ortho Evra” I had to read your post. I took Ortho Evra for more than year. After about one month into my prescription I began to get migrain headaches. Headaches run in my family so I though it was normal. I would throw up for hours at night, blackout and have severe nausea and pain. I went to the doctor several times to discuss my symptoms and they all told me I was fine and that Ortho Evra WAS NOT a concern.
This went on for a year.
Then I went to another doctor (a specialist) because I was scared. I had a migrain for 7 days in a row and could not get out of bed… during finals week nonetheless. When I told the doctor I was on Ortho Evra, her eyes grew large and she demanded I take off the patch immediately. She then left the office and came back in with two other doctors. They told me about increased risk of using the patch and said that with my symptoms I should never have continued using the patch. She was absolutely dumbfounded that my other doctors didn’t give me the right advice.
I have not had a headache since. THANK GOD!!
