Okay, so when my friend Brett asked me if I wanted to create a Zwinky, I knew from seeing banner ads for it that a Zwinky is an avatar that you can customize. So I thought sure, I’ll make one, just for fun, even though I’ll feel silly doing it.

What I didn’t know, is that when you download the Zwinky toolbar, you get so much MORE than just access to the Zwinky program. Which is really fun, by the way, since you can dress up your avatar and then take him or her to (I’m keeping a straight face here) Zwinktopia, where you can move through different areas and chat with other Zwinkies and play games for points that unlock even more stuff. My Zwinky? Looks like this right now:

In addition to that, create a Zwinky includes a toolbar download, which is called mywebsearch, includes Smiley Central, which has tons of fun smileys to put in your emails, message board posts, or instant messages. Like this one, that my friend Graham a/k/a “Jean-Luc Picard”, NEEDS to have:

With the toolbar download you also get PopSwatter that instantly swats away annoying pop-ups, Cursor Mania that lets you change your cursor into a graphic image, screensavers, free ecards for most any occasion, and my favorite, My Signature.

I send a LOT of emails every day, and I LOVE that My Signature lets me put my name and URLs into a personalized signature box. You’ll see it when you leave me a comment and I reply to you (I think)!
