Can someone please leave a comment?

I’ve activated the BlogFollow plugin, and I need to know if it works! Leave a comment, come back to the home page, and you (and everyone else) should see an excerpt from your most recent post under your comment! So not only do you show ME the love, but you encourage others to come read what you have to say! You can see it in action on my blog MomCooks, which also now has the Rockin’ Ruby theme that used to be here. My friend Mimi pointed out that it would be a great theme for a cooking blog, and of course, she was right!

And then another good friend AZDana IM’ed me and suggested this theme for this blog! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. As soon as I saw the bluebird, I thought of the tagline. What do you think?

So please leave a comment so I can see if the plugin works! Thanks so much, and Happy Sunday :)

Edited to add: Sadly, I am going to have to deactivate the plugin for now. I like it, but I can’t figure out how to keep my own post excerpts from appearing in comments I leave. Once I do that, I’ll turn it back on.

Owen, I hope you get this email. And also, the Blog Follow plugin is showing an excerpt from your post “Shoot other people for money” (clever title!)

Mimi-Thanks for helping me out, but I had to deactivate the plugin until I can figure out why it only showed some post excerpts and not others, and how to exclude my own. Once I figure it out I’ll activate the plugin again!

    Hi Dana,

The URL for the plugin is http://www.siteamonth.com/blogfollow-show-a-
    snippet-from-a-commenters-blog-in-the-comment

If you (or maybe you could ask Karen?) figure out how to exclude your own posts from the comments, could you please let me know? I asked a web developer friend and he had no idea.

    Thanks for stopping by, sweetie!

    E

If you are want to exclude your comments from the recent comments plugin – In WordPress Admin go to options then go to recent comments. Then they have a check box to exclude comments from blog authors
