Fun Stocking Stuffer ideas

Christmas is just about 5 weeks away you know, so it’s time to start shopping. I am always stumped on stocking stuffers, so I was happy to get this opportunity to review some great Christmas stocking stuffers from Vat19.com. I received some really fun stuff, too:

*A packet of Insta Snow fake snow powder, which I plan to sprinkle around my Dickens Village once I get it all set up. I might also sprinkle some on a small artificial tree to make it look more Christmasy. It also comes in a jar that makes two gallons of fake snow. I’m thinking it could be sprinkled all over a large Christmas tree, or used to make Santa’s footprints on the carpet from the door or fireplace to the tree. Kids would love it!

*The Ambient Fire:Ultimate Fireplace DVD, which is really, really cool. It only costs $14.95, and look at everything that is on it:

* Nine (9) Video Fireplaces: REAL, Wood-burning fires. These are not computer generated.
* Three (3) Music Choices: Holiday, Jazz, and Acoustic Guitar and Piano Music.
* Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound: Bask in the sounds of a real, cracklin’ fire.
* No Black Bars: Ambient Fire always fills your entire screen.
* Three (3) hours: Over 3 hours of crystal clear video fireplaces.

The DVD was shot in HD, so it will look great on our HD-TV, but it also looks great on standard TVs as well. I’m looking forward to an evening after we have decorated our tree, when we can snuggle together on the couch with just the lights from the tree illuminating the room, and mellow out to some nice Jazz and watch a crackling “fire”. It sounds like HEAVEN.

*I also received a root beer scented “Smencil” (scented pencil), which REALLY smells like root beer. Smencils are made from 100 % recycled newspapers! The metal thing that holds the eraser is recyclable, and the eraser is biodegradable! You can reduce your carbon footprint just by using this pencil. They come in packs of 10 for only $9.95, which yes, is more than a pack of pencils at Target, but you are supporting the making of something environmentally friendly, and that is worth spending a few more dollars for. I took a photo of Kaitlyn “writing to Santa” using the pencil:

Lynne-That does sound relaxing! I wish we had a tv in our bedroom, that would be a great way to fall asleep when I’m stressed out. Maybe I can convince my husband to get us one for Christmas :)
