Now this is a new spin on the PageRank fiasco-blogger Snoskred is having a contest to celebrate losing her Google PageRank. She’s decided that she is finished with Google, and now that she is no longer worrying about her PageRank, she’s decided to go back to paid blogging (yay!). But instead of keeping the money for herself, she’s passing it on to her readers, which is very cool of her! So please go visit my blog buddy Snoskred to learn more about her awesome contest.

Hey
I believe in celebration. Kinda like funerals should be a celebration of the life of the departed.
I hope what I am really celebrating is a beginning of the end of Google’s domination of the internet. But hey. we’ll see..
Cheers!
Snoskred
A drop in PR won’t affect you much. There are so many other things that google uses (about 200). That is why you usually see at least one PR2 or PR3 page often outbeat many PR 5 pages on page one.
Yes, but I didn’t just have a DROP in PageRank, I completely LOST my PageRank. On this blog, I started out with PR0, which was fair since the blog is only seven months old. Then, three weeks ago, the PR went up to a 2, which I was very happy about. Two weeks later, it went back to 0. Absolutely nothing changed between the time that Google felt the blog deserved a 2 to the time it felt it deserved a 0. If Google would explain their reasoning to the thousands of bloggers that suddenly lost their rank-but we know they won’t.
P.S. I don’t allow comments that aren’t left with a real name, so I assigned one to you as per my comment policy. You are now Bob the (body) Builder, hope you don’t mind
