On this blog, I started out with PR0, which was fair since the blog is only seven months old. Then, three weeks ago, the PR went up to a 2, which I was very happy about. Two weeks later, it went back to 0. Absolutely nothing changed between the time that Google felt the blog deserved a 2 to the time it felt it deserved a 0. If Google would explain their reasoning to the thousands of bloggers that suddenly lost their rank-but we know they won't. P.S. I don't allow comments that aren't left with a real name, so I assigned one to you as per my comment policy. There are so many other things that google uses (about 200). That is why you usually see at least one PR2 or PR3 page often outbeat many PR 5 pages on page one. A drop in PR won’t affect you much.
