There are two great contests going on over at Mommies United, these are the links:
1. Win a Furminator deshedding tool for pets, requires visiting the sponsor site and then leaving a comment on the post, ends April 17th.
2. This is the 2nd week of their 12 week Cupcake Courier giveaway. To enter to win this week, create a poem using the letters in the word “CUPCAKE”. You can leave your poem in the comments or, for an extra entry, post it on your own blog, then go and leave the URL on the Mr. Linky. Here’s mine:
“C” is for the Cupcakes that we’re baking,
“U” is for the you and me and Us
“P” is for the Pleasure that we’re making,
“C” is for the Chocolate without fuss.
“A” is for the Adding of the sugar,
“K” is for the Kiss upon my cheek,
“E” is for the Eating when we’re finished.
Put it all together it spells CUPCAKE, a treat that we deserve to end our week!
I seriously just wrote that off the top of my head. My college Creative Writing Prof would be so proud

In this generation of zero transfats, sushi, and lunchables, have cupcakes become cliched?
Gus-Actually, no! I think the recent re-discovery of cupcakes is in part due to the fact that they represent a time when snacks and desserts were more wholesome. Cupcake batter is simple to make, and it’s a perfectly portioned treat. There are whole blogs devoted just to cupcakes!
Great post! We at Mommies United think Cupcakes are wonderful although in moderation.
