I have a bad cold. Sore throat, headache, neck ache, fatigue, stuffy nose, cough.
This morning, my son went to kiss me goodbye and bumped the mug of coffee I was holding and it splashed directly into my laptop keyboard. I turned it off and turned it upside down, now it won’t turn on at all. I have no access to Microsoft Outlook, which means I don’t have my Calendar showing today’s posts that are due, nor do I have access to the email folders that I could look in to see what posts are due, nor access to all of the email addresses for all of the P.R. people who are waiting for me to write those posts.
I went to Wal-Mart to buy diapers, wipes, and three days worth of food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for five people. It cost me $172.00. For 3 days worth. At Wal-Mart. And gas is $3.74 a gallon here.
I was invited to go someplace very cool in June with my family this time, it would be an amazing weekend, but they aren’t paying for transportation. We would not be able to afford plane tickets for five people, and although it’s within driving distance, the gas would also cost more than we can afford. It’s bumming me out that I might have to say no when this is the first time my family has been invited to go someplace!
Honestly, today is just not a good day. Once my husband gets home and MAYBE fixes my laptop, I’ll have EVEN MORE work to catch up on than I already do. Whine, complain, waaaah. Send chocolate.

This whole gas price thing is really getting out of control. Pretty soon gas will be so expensive we will have nothing we can do except sit on the computer and video chat with people. Or learn to ride a bike, really really fast

You would be surprised at gas prices in Europe right now. We can consider ourselves lucky ( for now, at least) since we have one of the lowest gas prices in the world. But it sure isn’t great to know they are going up and up.
I hope your laptop gets better! I would definitely be whining and complaining and crying and more if anything happened to mine!
I hope the trip thing can work out somehow, someway. It would be so nice for the whole family to go somewhere together.

I am so sorry that you are having such a rough time. Maybe your laptop will dry out and be ok. Hugs.

About the only thing you can do in that situation is instantly remove the power cord and battery. It’s the only chance you have of keeping the spill from frying the machine unless you have a spill resistant design. Those are great, you just end up with sticky keys but at least the machine isn’t a loss.
The economy will grind to a total halt if gas prices keep going up. Entire industries are in dire straits and it will only get worse.

In the present days the prices of all the things have gone too high. It was quite obvious that the gas price also went up touching the sky. But in some places its not very high even then we have to bare it.
Yes, lets all whine about gas prices. That is something that affects us all and we can surely agree upon!
Feel free to whine, think we’ve all been there on the gas.
Very sorry about your trip.
