This contest is closed. Congratulations to the Grand Prize winner, Kristen McLane, and the two runners-up, Mom on the Run and Lori from A Cowboy’s Wife! Congratulations and enjoy your prizes!
When I was first contacted about doing a product review and giveaway of something called Jig-A-Loo, my first thought was, “what the heck kind of name is that for a product?” So I went to the U.S. website for the international company, and learned the origins of the name:
The name “Jig-A-Loo” can be traced all the way back to 1958, when the product inventor finally came up with the right formula and exclaimed “ti-gi-dou!” This friendly French-Canadian expression is used when someone finds a solution to a problem. “Ti-gi-dou” loosely translates as “I’ve got it!” It’s also sometimes used as a salutation at the end of phone conversations. In the spirit of celebrating this wondrous new invention, a more phonetic version of the inventor’s words was coined, one which included the idea of lubricant (“loo”).
So, what is Jig-A-Loo? It’s an invisible silicon-based household lubricant that unsticks, unsqueaks, doesn’t smell, doesn’t drip, and doesn’t stain. You can spray it on the zipper of a pair of WHITE PANTS and won’t see any drops at all. It unsticks window frames, keeps rust off of tools, takes the squeak out of door hinges, makes shoes waterproof, you can even spray it on the leaves of artificial plants to keep dust off. Spray Jig-A-Loo into the bottom of a candle holder, and the melted candle comes right out. Jig-A-Loo is a safe product for wood, glass, rubber, metal, leather, fabric, and most plastics (spray a small area of a plastic item first to test). What else can you use it on?
Jig-A-Loo lubricates doors, windows, patio doors, shower doors, washer and dryer doors, drawers, locks, curtain rods, ventilation fans, window shutters, rocking chairs, zippers, hide-a-bed mechanisms, clotheslines, and more.
Jig-A-Loo is also an excellent water-repellent for your shoes, boots, suede and leather jackets, windbreakers, snowsuits, and other garments.
Spray Jig-A-Loo on door seals, door locks, washer nozzles, and windshields to prevent them from freezing, or spray on hubcaps to prevent brake-dust residue buildup.
Wow! I’ve got an amazing GRAND PRIZE to give away, thanks to Jig-A-Loo and Fanscape, Inc. One Grand Prize will be awarded, containing:
3 Cans of Jig-A-Loo ($6.50 per can)
Jig-A-Loo t-shirt and hat (no value)
Dancing Vine Tealight Holder ($9.95) from Illuminations
Large Dancing Vine Hurricane ($29.95)
Bellini Scented Tealight Candles (set of 12) ($10.00)
Two Runners-Up will each receive one can of Jig-A-Loo, a t-shirt and a hat.

This would be perfect for my family which includes 4 very busy kids. I would love to use Jig-A-Loo on the doors of my washer and dryer. Those doors have been squeaking so long I can not remember when they did not squeak! I would also use it on my kids’ shoes. They can’t resist jumping into every puddle they see. The locks and windshield on our van is always freezing so we would use Jig-A-Loo there too.All the drawers on my daughter’s dresser are stuck so there is another place to use it. I guess we would use Jig-A-Loo in almost every room in the house.

Our garage door could use this! It is so loud and creaky my 3 year old won’t go in there!
My computer chair is creaking !
Because of yard work season, I would spray it on my sneakers. I hate when the dew creeps inside and makes my socks wet.
