We don’t have BABW here in Lansing, so I was thrilled when I got the email asking if I would do this giveaway, because I also got this for Kaitlyn:
THAT, my friends, is the new Tropical Hello Kitty from Sanrio, exclusively available at Build-A-Bear Workshop! She has a toasty golden glow to her fur from her time spent in the tropics (although it doesn’t send a good message about sunscreen use, but I’m willing to overlook that because she is just so darn cute). She has a pretty silk flower tucked behind her ear, a sleeveless pink and orange souvenir t-shirt from her trip to Hawaii, and a ruffled denim mini. She’s also soft and huggable!
There’s a whole line of different outfits available for Tropical Hello Kitty, which you can see here. Since mine didn’t come with the silver purse and sandals shown there, I assume those are accessories I can purchase separately. But look at all the fun choices! I’ve always wanted to take my three year old son there. His sitter has taken him there and he seemed to love it. I never have the money to take him there, but I think it would be a great way that we could spend time together.

We have 5 kids and my 5 year old just went to Build a Bear. It was any of our kids first time to actually get one. My 9 year old was a little upset but it was the five year olds birthday money she got from her aunt and she spent it herself. So now I have to figure out a way to get one for my 9 year old too. One time I took my two foreign exchange students from France to Build a Bear. They were so amazed, they had never even heard of Build a Bear. But ironically enough, the woman stuffing their bears had just gotten off the plane from Paris the day before and spoke to them in French. So needless to say, for the following week and a half my French exchange student spent hours a day caring for her little wizard dressed white teddy bear.
