Clicktoy Makes Storytime Interactive Fun for Toddlers-with Giveaway!

by Elizabeth on August 11, 2008

Created by a Dad who wanted to create a special computer game for his own children, Clicktoy combines beautiful graphics with an interactive environment of cuddly-looking animals, sounds, and nature in Clicktoy-The Meadow. It was easy to install the game on my desktop and Kaitlyn asks to play it almost every day, she calls it “The Bunny Game”. It took a few minutes to figure out which key on the keyboard did what, but Kaitlyn quickly figured out which key to click to make a bunny hop over to another bunny and nuzzle it’s nose, making animated hearts twinkle above their heads. She NEVER gets tired of it!

What I like best about this game is the pace. For someone used to quick flash games, it actually took me some time to get used to just relaxing and helping Kaitlyn move the animals. But I soon realized that it’s rather soothing to just have gentle actions and music rather than bright blinky things happening on the screen all the time. It’s a great game to play after dinner while I am winding her down for bedtime.

A copy of Clicktoy-The Meadow costs $20, the same as most games on sites like Big Fish. BUT, I’ve got a free download to give away to one lucky reader! Please note- The Meadow is fun and easy Windows PC interactive software for children ages 1 and up that transforms a computer into a safe toy for toddlers, Only for Windows XP/Vista users. To enter, visit the Games section of Clicktoy, read the “Key Features” section, then come back here and tell me which of the Features interests you the most. You must leave a real first name or blog alias, comments left with keywords WILL be deleted. And please leave a valid email address!

Want a second entry? Mention this giveaway on your blog and link it back to this URL. No blog? No problem! Just bookmark this post on StumbleUpon, Digg, or Kirtsy instead. You have until Monday, August 25th at 9:00 AM est to get me your entries. I’ll choose one winner using random.org and forward their email address to Clicktoy who will create your account. Good luck!

I love that it’s safe for toddlers! Becca is always wanting to bang on our computer keyboards – and even when we play games with her on our laps, she can’t touch all the keys like she wants to. This sounds perfect! :)

Added this to my Contests page on my review site! :)

This is a fresh change from the usual games my 4 yr old wants to play. He has two older siblings who are into Runescape, webkinz, etc and this is more his speed. Thank you for the chance. I think it looks wonderful.
