When I received an (oopdoo)™ hug wrap for a product review, the first thing I thought of, before I had even looked at the product website, was how perfect it would be to send along with a child going to preschool. The (oopdoo)™ is a piece of the softest fleece, shaped like a giant bandaid. It has a pocket in the inside middle that could hold a cold pack or one of those microwavable rice pillows, and it wraps around the child’s shoulders or arm, or leg, wherever the “boo boo” is.
What made me think of preschool is I remember when my boys went, and they would collide with another kid and get a bump, and want a bandaid even though they weren’t bleeding. There’s something about bandaids that makes kids feel comforted. Well, being able to wrap a soft fleece “bandaid” around the bumped arm or leg is sure to feel comforting too, it’s like combining the bandaid with their favorite soft blanket! My daughter has been carrying her (oopdoo)™ around this week because her brothers are up North at a friend’s grandparents’ house, so she’s been a little sad.

The (oopdoo)™ comes in a variety of prints, colors, and textures, and costs between $19.99 and $24.99 plus a flat rate of $5.95 for US shipping. Call 1-877-608-5631 to get info on having one shipped outside the US. It would make a great get-well gift, too!

Great review! That’s a really cute idea.

Your daughter is so cute! I love the idea of the OopDoo, right down to the funny name. I know it would be a big hit with my 4-year old!

This is a nice review. My daughter is starting preschool in two days, and I never thought about her taking something to school that would comfort her.
