Win a copy of Dirty Sexy Money Season One on DVD!

Written by Elizabeth on October 1, 2008 – 10:06 am -

dirty sexy money season 1 dvd One of the hottest shows on TV last season was Dirty Sexy Money, and for good reason. Sure it was dirty in more ways than one, and it was undoubtedly sexy, and of course money is the root of at least some of the evil on the show. But what really makes this show one to watch is the cast of characters and the actors who play them.

Donald Sutherland as bazillionaire Tripp Darling. Jill Clayburgh as his wife Letitia. Peter Krause (Six Feet Under) as Nick George, whose father was the Darling family’s legal counsel, and when he passes away, Nick is offered the job. William Baldwin as rising politician Patrick Darling, who is both married and having an affair with someone very different than his family would ever expect. Blair Underwood as billionaire Simon Elder. And all of it executive-produced by Greg Berlanti (Dawson’s Creek, Brothers & Sisters, Eli Stone).

2007 was a short TV season due to the writer’s strike, so there were only 10 episodes made of the show. Therefore there is a terrific bunch of bonus features on the last disc of the set-the making of Dirty Sexy Money, a VIP set tour of the Darling’s Manhattan mansion (filmed on a Hollywood soundstage), “Dressing the Darlings”, a wonderful look at the couture clothes that each character wears, and “The Other Woman: Candis Cayne”, a look at the character of Carmelita and how transgender performer Candis Cayne brings her to life. There are also Commentaries, Deleted Scenes, and Dirty Sexy Bloopers.

I would pay off all the debts of my friends and family (one time opportunity only - I’m not bailing people out every six months). Then I’d live in a different country every month for the rest of my life.

    I love that show!
If I had unlimited money I’d pay off my debt, pay off my parents debt and make sure we all had homes to live in. Then I’d pay for my kids college, buy a family burial plot. then I’d probably spend a little bit on some fun stuff for us and put the rest away.

First I’d make sure my friends and family are taken care of and be sure they have enough to take care of themselves. Then I’d grab my husband and travel the world - doing whatever we wanted, going wherever we wanted, and helping people out along the way. That sounds like fun.

I’d consult a Financial Planner first. Then, for my own choices above and beyond the Financial Planners suggestions, I’d build and manage a Yoga Studio. I’d travel to see my sister in Spain. I’d help out family members financially: homes, cars, college funding for niece and nephews, and whatever else family members might suggest. I’d also donate to Habitat for Humanity, as well as programs to provide clean drinking water. Heck, if it was an unending amount of money, I’d even pay off the Federal Debt . . . since, I presume you want me to be FILTHY RICH! hee, hee

I would find a financial planner first to help with the madness. Investing is not wise at this time…so I would hire a personal trainer, chef and learn how to eat better. I would buy the dream car (Mustang GT), dream house and of course, there would be charities. I would then have a center for women “on the brink”. What I mean by “on the brink” is on the brick of midlife crisis, on the brink of divorce, marriage etc…Guidance when a woman needs it…it would be there.
