Did your kids watch the Summer Olympics that took place in Beijing this past summer? If so, a very cool new trading card game gives them an opportunity to learn about China’s ecosystems and meet the endangered species that live in them. Matter Group is the environmentally conscious company that created Xeko, a trading card game series that teaches kids about area’s of the world that are in the most need of conservation, and introduces them to the threatened animal species that live there. Mission: China is the fourth collection of this award-winning trading card game series.
This mission includes animals like the beloved Giant Panda, critically endangered Snow Leopard, and ferocious King Cobra. The Xeko Mission: China starter set comes packaged in a stunning pagoda box decorated with animals from China’s habitats and dragon illustrations that capture the mysteries of ancient Chinese culture. Like the blockbusters Pokèmon and Yu-Gi-Oh, Xeko involves collecting trading cards to create a custom library—or in this case a “Xeko-system”—and using the cards to match wits against opponents in exciting game play. The starter set retails for $24.99. Booster packs of 9 cards are available for $3.99.
Dedicated to “a bright green future,” Xeko produces the games in an Earth-friendly way. Not only are the cards and packaging made of 100% recycled stock, but all printing is done with eco-friendly inks. While younger children can play and enjoy the game, Xeko is best suited for kids ages 8 years and up. Any of the Xeko games would make wonderful Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers. My 9 year old and his best friend have spent hours looking through the Mission: China cards and talking about the animals. I’d like to thank Lisa from Kidstuff PR for sending us the Mission: China Xeko starter kit and two extra booster packs!

Xeko (pronounced ZeeCo) has not only produced this game but is on track to make 34 games that are all interchangeable and focus on various trouble eco-systems around the globe.
This is great to see the world starting to promote green living. The world is going to change through our kids the more we can teach them how to live balanced in the environment the better. Especially in big population sizes like China.
Wow, thats awesome! Its great to see how green living is even impacting children’s games.
