Holiday Gift Guide-Win a Huru Humi prize pack!

Written by Elizabeth on November 9, 2008 – 8:17 pm -

This giveaway is closed. Congratulations to the winners, Janet and Elizabeth M. !

One of the hottest electronic toys for this holiday season is sure to be the fun interactive HURU HUMI toys. Pronounced like this- who are you, who am I-Huru Humis are meant for ages ten and up, although Nathan is nine and I think really a child as young as four could easily learn how to use the toys. Each Huru Humi has its own name, personality, interests, and activities. We got Chloe, who is an “investigative reporter” and runs her own webzine, and we also got Jake, a football player who believes in teamwork and doing his best every day. Hurus also have removable hair and outfits so you can swap between them, although Jake would look pretty weird in Chloe’s dress :P

Each Huru is preprogrammed with a series of phrases, and you get a sheet that shows the phrases and how the Hurus will respond to voice commands. For example, saying “tell me a joke” will prompt your Huru to tell you a knock knock joke. Saying “Let’s play a game” to Jake prompts him to playing a staring game with you, which Nathan thinks is hilarious. And, not only do Huru Humis talk to you, if you place them facing each other, they talk to each other! Huru Humi toys have a retail price of $29.99 and can be purchased at Walmart, Target, Kmart and Toys R Us.

GIVEAWAY: I’ve got two Huru Humi prize packs to give away! Each will have one randomly selected Huru Humi and a black t-shirt with a white Huru Humi logo. The winners can choose the size of their t-shirt: child large, adult small, adult medium, and adult large.

For One Entry
, visit the Huru Humi website and browse around. Come back here and tell me one thing you learned from visiting the site.

I love these HURU HUMI’s! I stayed quite awhile on the site myself, discovering fun things to do and reading all about them. How very cool that they can even tell you when they are lonely. Amazing.
I can see these being a big hit this Christmas season and far into the future. Thanks so much for the wonderful review, opening my eyes and hopefully pushing me one step closer to being a cool parent.
