Win a $25 Gift Certificate to Kroger Stores!

Written by Elizabeth on November 11, 2008 – 8:21 pm -

This giveaway is closed. Congratulations to the winner, Monica of First-Time-Mommy.com !

Okay, I am going to just come right out and admit it- I am a TERRIBLE coupon clipper. I look at coupons, I clip out coupons, I put them in envelopes, stick them in my purse, and then never remember to use them. But what I do always have in my wallet is my store rewards cards, which is why it is so awesome that Kroger.com is making it super easy by letting customers download coupons DIRECTLY to their store card! How awesome is that?? There are so many ways to save money with a Kroger Plus card:

Shortcuts –A service of AOL, in partnership with Kroger, the site allows customers to download coupons directly to their Kroger Plus Card. During checkout, coupons are automatically redeemed when your Card is scanned.

P&G eSaver – Did you know that you can download P&G coupons directly to your Kroger Plus Card? During checkout, coupons are automatically redeemed when you scan your Card.

Printable Coupons –Forget to pick up the Sunday paper? No worries. Now you can print coupons directly from the Kroger.com site.

Fuel Rewards – Customers throughout The Kroger Co.’s family of stores can accumulate and redeem fuel discounts they earn by shopping at Kroger-owned stores at participating gas stations the retailer operates across the country. Most of the fuel discount programs offered by Kroger and its family of stores reward customers with a minimum of 10 cents off per gallon of gas for every $100 they spend in a store.

Kroger Pharmacy – Kroger Pharmacies offer a 30-day supply of more than 300 prescriptions for only $4, or 90-day supplies for only $10. That means you can save on generic drugs used to treat a wide range of medical conditions. At Kroger.com you can download a complete list of eligible medications and check to see if your local pharmacy participates.

1-2-3 Rewards MasterCard –Sign up for a 1-2-3 Rewards MasterCard and earn free groceries when you shop. Each time you use your card you’ll earn points – 1 point for every dollar spent outside the store, 2 points for every dollar spent inside the store and 3 points for every dollar spent on any of the Kroger family brands. For every 1,000 points you earn you’ll receive $5 in FREE groceries.

GIVEAWAY: Win a $25.00 Kroger gift card. The cards are redeemable at any of The Kroger Co. family of stores – Ralph’s, Fred Meyer, Food 4 Less, etc. For one entry, leave a comment on this post and tell me which of the above ways to save money from Kroger would be most helpful to you.

Got here via Twitter Search — looking for Kroger tweets. :) Either of the first two on your list would be beneficial to me.

Thanks for that. I didn’t know you could download coupons on your Kroger card. I’m an awful coupon user too. I actually have a bunch of those customized coupons that Kroger sent me for being a ‘good customer’. I have the coupons in my purse and guess what, I’ve been to Kroger twice since I got the coupons, and I kept forgetting to use them!

I also use the Kroger pharmacy for my prescriptions. I was just there yesterday. Got a 90 day supply for $10 :)

I definitely like the fact you can download the coupons to your card. I just found out about it last week. I’m like you, I have coupons all over the place and this is a way better approach. I didn’t know about the fuel rewards though, thank you!

That´s an excellent idea. I´m the same with the vouchers.. and then when I DO find them, it´s usually a day past the expiration date.. ANNOYING! At least if I had a store card I could just attempt to use the card EVERY time I go into the store.. there´s bound to be something on it each time which I can use! :-)

OMG, these are some great opportunities. I like coupons too, especially the ones that come inside the cat food bags (especially since there are 2 cats in my house!), but always forget that I have them tucked away in a drawer somewhere.
    Thanks for the info!

Downloadable coupons would be really helpful. I don’t generate paper waste by clipping out the ones from the Sunday paper (no more buying the paper!!!), and I don’t have to waste ink and printer paper getting other coupons online. I can save lots of ways!!!
