Adding soybean oil to a candle lower it’s melting point, which means it burns less hot and therefore disperses the scent more quickly. The longer a candle burns, the larger the pool of melted wax that forms on the top, and it’s from that pool of wax that the scent evaporates. This candle is a blend of Indian Jasmine, Lavender Buds, Geranium Petals and White Rose, in a 7.5 ounce glass holder, and comes packaged in a pretty white box tied with a grosgrain ribbon. I understand how lowering the melting point would cause the scent to be released earlier, but does less heat mean candles burning at higher temperatures are releasing a less than optimal scent because the wax burns faster than the scent can be released? Just curious now that I semi-learned how a candle works haha.
