Scented Candles from The Pink Pig

The Pink Pig logo The Pink Pig is both an online boutique and a shop located in the historic town of Westport, New York, which is in the Adirondack Mountains. They carry a unique collection of cottage style and country style furniture, home decor, antiques, as well as this beautiful Signature Scented Candle.

Adding soybean oil to a candle lower it’s melting point, which means it burns less hot and therefore disperses the scent more quickly. The longer a candle burns, the larger the pool of melted wax that forms on the top, and it’s from that pool of wax that the scent evaporates.  This candle is a blend of  Indian Jasmine, Lavender Buds, Geranium Petals and White Rose, in a 7.5 ounce glass holder, and comes packaged in a pretty white box tied with a grosgrain ribbon. Perfect for giving as a gift or as a beautiful accent for your home.

Other items that caught my eye from the Pink Pig website are the framed Vintage Lanvin Perfume Invoice , the pretty Ladies Card Holders (perfect for business cards!), and this to-die-for Raggedy Ann Blanket and matching pillow featuring a quilted top and a chenille backing. I love it!  The Pink Pig shop is only open from May to December, but the online store is open year-round, so if you are looking for unique cottage, country, or vintage furniture and accessories, you need to check out The Pink Pig!

I love how the melting point is lower. What a great idea. Always looking for better ways to freshen up the house.

I understand how lowering the melting point would cause the scent to be released earlier, but does less heat mean candles burning at higher temperatures are releasing a less than optimal scent because the wax burns faster than the scent can be released? Just curious now that I semi-learned how a candle works haha.

I bet that candle smells wonderful! I love the Adirondacks. I used to spend some time vacationing in Long Lake, NY. It’s nice to know the Pink Pig also has a shop, thanks for the review!
