Summer is coming and that means our kids will be spending more time out in the sun, and that means thinking about keeping their skin safe. With that in mind, Lands’ End has a new Sun.Life collection, a full line of adjustable, breathable, and comfortable clothes for the entire family with an Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) rating of 30 or 50, which protects 96.7 to 97.5 percent of the sun’s harmful rays. In fact the reason Lands’ End created this new line of clothing is because according to a recent Lands’ End survey of 1,400 moms across the country more than eight out of ten (87 percent) believe sun protective clothing for the family is important.
Since my 10 year old son is already spending a lot more time outside now that Michigan is finally heading into Spring, I got him the Boys’ Short Sleeve Sun Life T-Shirt. You can tell the material is breathable, and he said it was very comfortable to wear. The line also includes clothing for Men, Women, and Girls, all with 30 or 50 SPF protection.

Hi Elizabeth,
Thanks so much for this essential info. This is great! I didn’t know that there is such thing as UV protected clothes. So UV rays go through clothing? Considering that u can only really put sunscreen on your face, hands and legs if you’re going for a walk outside, you’re only really covering 30% of your body with UV protection.
Thanks for the valuable info.!
I wish these had been available when I was a kid! Unfortunately, I got burnt quite a bit when I was small and now have problems with my skin.
These are just great. My 2 little ones just love the outdoors and being a bit paranoid about skin cancer etc I’ve alwyas made sure they have blocker on. About time someone decided to make these. On my next shopping list
