I am planning on having another ‘Earth Hour’ tonight. We do our best to live Green so nothing will change in that regard, but turning off the lights for a bit will be an added step. Great giveaway–thanks!

My family and I already recycle everything we can. We also try to buy as much bio-degradable products as well. Did you know Office Depot has a line of plasticware, cups, plates and bowls called “Nature Friendly”? They are great, maybe a little spendy but completely worth it. They are made from compostable resin and completely break down unlike the regular disposable dishes. I am also working at the EARTH Week Celebration 2009 at Riverfront Park in Spokane WA this Sunday.

I take clothes hangers back to the dry cleaners to keep them out of the land fill. I am going to an Earth Day shred this afternoon.All the shredder paper is recycled.
We are planning trees at around my house as well as our university ground. We try to do our best to live Green. –thanks!
We are planting 2 trees in our yard this evening when our kids come home from school. In a few years it will help by keeping our home cooler.
I work for a company that recycles everything(including no paper being put in recycling at the desk unless it’s been used twice).
I will be turning all lights off to make up for not being able to participate in earth hour last month.

We are planting our organic vegetable garden.
I’m really pregnant and on bed rest, but I am doing so in my organic cotton Earth Day maternity tee and while watching our Energy Star Sony Bravia television I got my husband for Christmas. Last year I joined the Arbor Day Foundation and planted four baby trees in our back yard, and three of them made it through the winter and are blooming now

Today IS Earth Day and I am at work, however after work, I will pick up my son and we will go home and water our organic garden. We love being outside and spending time together. Our new garden gives us that opportunity!

Studying for classes while trying to conserve energy this whole week. I already do what I can and max out on recycling and plastic use reduction.
We just planted several new trees in the yard, and we are recycling like crazy.
We are recycling, and replaced all lightbulbs already.
We are participating in a litter clean up and recycle day.
we do everything we can to live gree. always use totes instead of plastic bags, keep everything unplugged when not in use, we switched to compact florecent bulbs, and now we are timing our showers. Not only are we helping the planet, but we are saving money too. thanks for the giveaway

Earlier in the week I create a recyling center in my classroom and the children in my class spent the day sorting the materials and teachiung my pre-k students about conserving our earth. Also planted us tomatoes plants. Thanks for the giveaway

We planted flowers, took a walk and no tv!! we turned off all electrical for two hours.
Well, Earth Day is over. I worked 11 hours so I really didn’t have time to do anything to commemorate the day.
I also couldn’t do anything special because of work, but my daughters did commerative stuff at their respective schools.
I spent the day working on the lawn.

I spent Earth Day taking my own bags to the store, no tree planting, we live in the middle of an oak forest.
Joining with our neighborhood associate for our annual “Spruce Up the Neighborhood” project day (OK it will be on the weekend this year): we break up into a number of groups and each one takes on a task: like cleaning up and litter and debris, planting our annual community garden, and (sadly) cleaning up/painting over graffiti…
It’s a wonderful to get everyone involved and creating bonds while doing good for the community and the planet!

I’ll be helping my friend at the Earth Day Recycle Event in Daphne, AL. He makes beautiful frames and wall decor from recycled wood from homes that were damaged/destroyed during Hurricane Katrina (www.rebirthframes.com) He has a booth at the event and I’ll be helping him to hopefully sell some of his beautiful art.

I spent it working, walking door to door for the 2010 census in the rain. I celebrated last Saturday at the local park where my niece had her arm painted and did a chalk drawing.
I spent it looking out the window at snow and worrying about climate change. SNOW this late in the year? Something is wrong!
We will recommit ourselves to our lifestyle of reusing everything we can and eliminating disposable products. We recycle whenever possible. We use “greener” cleaning products also.
I will go to our community Earth Day celebration and participate in our waterways clean up.
