There’s been a series of videos posted on YouTube over the last two weeks called Red Chair Confessions. In the videos, one or more people go inside a confessional and confess their deepest, darkest fashion secret. There was no indication in the videos of where these people were shopping, what kind of fashions they were buying. Finally, a video was released that revealed the secret:
It’s Talbots! My Mom shopped at Talbots for sensible sweater/skirt combos to wear to her job as an elementary school teacher, so I admit, I thought of Talbots clothes as being very conservative. I certainly didn’t think of Talbots as high fashion, but after having gone to their site to take another look, I realize that I have been so wrong.
Talbots is changing their image and letting people know that their clothes are hip, modern, and affordable. I’d love for everyone reading this to pop over to www.talbots.com and choose an item they really like, then come back here and tell me in a comment. It’s not a giveaway or anything, I’m just curious to know what other people think about Talbots.
