I’m just going to admit it-I had never even considered buying or drinking instant coffee until I was contacted by Nescafe about trying their Taster’s Choice Single Serve coffee packets. The box they sent me was a coffee lover’s dream, with both a stainless steel and ceramic travel mug, a set of leather coasters, and two of each of the single serve varieties-Original, Decaffeinated, 100% Colombian, Gourmet Roast, Vanilla, and Hazelnut.
For five days, I had a cup of Taster’s Choice coffee instead of my usual brewed coffee. The Original tasted the most like “regular” coffee, the 100% Colombian and Gourmet Roast had a richer flavor. What I could definitely tell was that it was not what I thought of when I thought about instant coffee. I assumed instant coffee was watery and bitter, but Taster’s Choice is rich, with good color and aroma. I even noticed a layer of light brown froth at the top of the cup, almost like a shot of espresso. Each packet made an 8 ounce cup that tasted freshly made. My favorite of the flavors was definitely the vanilla. It was delicious with my regular vanilla creamer.

I don’t drink coffee much anymore, but when I did, I really liked Tasters Choice. That’s neat about the single servings.
