Fruzo Classifieds Review

by Elizabeth on November 17, 2009

FruzoThis post is sponsored by Fruzo Classifieds.

Fruzo Classifieds is a newly launched classified ads-type website similar to Craigslist, but open only to U.S. IP addresses. It’s free to list an ad, and has already had 18,000 posts in less than two weeks! Fruzo is free, easy to use, and most importantly, safe. Every ad page has a “Report this ad” link for anyone to report an ad as a potential scam. Fruzo says their site is safe enough even for kids!

Fruzo does not allow nudity, ads for adult services, pornography, or any type of obscenity. You can feel safe searching for an apartment, a used car, a moving van, a used treadmill, or whatever goods or services you need, without worrying that you might click something that the little one snuggled up to you on the couch should most definitely not see.

It says right on the site that Feedback is appreciated to help them improve the site, so my suggestion is that someone needs to watch for errors such as this one I found on the Games + Toys page: “Is your business downs izing or adding a branch office ch office “. Many of the ads on the right-hand “Featured Ads” column had similar spacing errors. For me, errors like that make a site seem less professional. I also was confused by the fact that while the site knew what city I live in (I assume from my IP address), it was showing me nationwide ads.

I think there’s room on the Internet for more than one classified ad site, so I wish Fruzo.com the best of luck in building their site. I appreciate them giving me this opportunity to review it for them.
