Do they sell nose warmers at Kohls?

by Elizabeth on December 17, 2009

I. Am. FREEEEEZING.  I am SO COLD, people. The minute the temperature drops below 30 degrees, the tip of my nose gets ice cold and stays that way until summer. I’m not even kidding! It’s worse at night, so on winter evenings, you can find me sitting on the couch watching TV with my family while cupping the end of my nose with my hand, trying valiantly to bring it some amount of warmth.

I also have a constant battle with my husband over the amount of covers on our bed. If I had my way, we would have a sheet, a comforter, and an electric blanket on top of that. While dressed in sweats and wearing thick socks.  Chris, needless to say, is less than happy with that idea.  So when Shop.com contacted me about taking a look at Kohls Bedding, my main interest was seeing what kinds of deals they have on comforters. Maybe if I can find a really thick warm one, I can keep it over me while I watch TV and then use it on my side of the bed when I sleep.

So, I took a look, and I found pretty good deals, like a Full/Queen size reversible comforter for only $89.99, and this really pretty City Scene Eden Duvet Set, also $89.99.  It would look great in my room, and wrapped around my nose on the couch :)

I’m so with you on the nose thing! Drives me so crazy. My husband and I also fight over the covers so in winter I have one (well maybe three haha) and he has one.

Is it just the tip of your nose, or do your finger tips and toe tips get like that too?
If your finger & toe tips get like that too, you might talk to your Dr. about getting checked for Raynaud’s phenomena.
It is actually a nerve condition that is affected by cold, which causes the nerves to make the blood vessels constrict to much and therefore without enough blood flow certain areas can get colder than they should.

Very interesting article. I also have the same problem but I have never thought of it like some kind of disease. It is really unpleasant but after I keep my hand on the nose for some time it get warmed. But just in case I will read some more about Raynaud’s phenomena.
