I am so excited about this giveaway because thanks to LeapFrog, I get to give one very lucky MomReviews reader something very, very cool – the brand new LeapFrog Leapster Explorer Learning Game System
LeapFrog sent us the Leapster Explorer last week and swore us to secrecy! We couldn’t tell anyone what it was called or show any photos of it! I couldn’t even let Kaitlyn take it into a restaurant because I couldn’t let other people see it! It was like I was a LeapFrog Secret Agent 
The LeapFrog Leapster Explorer Learning Game System
If your kids have played with the classic Leapster or the Leapster2, there are both similarities and big differences between those and the Explorer. Like the Leapsters, the Explorer is sized right for little hands with big buttons and an attached stylus. With the Explorer, LeapFrog has taken handheld gaming to a whole new level by making FOUR kinds of content available for it – cartridge games, downloadable videos, downloadable flash cards, and downloadable e-books. The downloadables are called “Leaplets”, and will be available by purchasing a Leaplet Card at retailers. There will also be a CAMERA accessory that plugs into the bottom of the Explorer available this Fall!
The Explorer that LeapFrog sent us last week came pre-loaded with a selection of games, videos, flash cards, and e-books. Aimed at ages 4-9, my 4.5 year old daughter was able to turn it on and start playing immediately with no help from me! There’s a game called Jewel Train with 25 levels, the screen shows pieces of train track that are turned in different directions and have to be turned with a tap of the stylus until all the track pieces connect. She started playing it and next thing I knew, she was on level 13! I couldn’t believe how intuitive it was. The games, books, and videos currently available include kids’ favorite characters like SpongeBob, Dora, Diego, Ni Hao Kai Lan, Ben 10, Disney Princesses, and many more!

I would like to give this to my 4 year old grandson. We have used similar products for him to help with his speech delays and other learning problems. They have been a big help and this would be a great next step for him!
