When I was pregnant with Nathan, Ryan was two. Chris and I talked to him a lot about babies, how they had to be held, and fed, and have their diapers changed, and I decided it would be good to get him a baby doll so I could show him what Mommy would look like holding a baby. We went to the toy store to look at dolls, and I discovered that there were lots of dolls dressed in pink that came with pink rattles and pink bottles, but there weren’t any that appealed to a boy.
