Site Review: Roman Grinev Photography

If you or someone you know is getting married in Virginia, this is definitely the review you want to read. One of the most important decisions to make when planning a wedding is who to use for the photographs. Wedding photos are more than just snapshots of the day, they are a chronicle of the entire experience. Roman Grinev is a Virginia Wedding Photographer who considers what he does “wedding photojournalism”. The studio photographers at Roman Grinev aren’t just there to take photos of people posing, they are there to tell a story with the photos they take.

Based in Bethesda, Annapolis, and Baltimore, Roman Grinev Photography was voted “One of the Area’s Best Wedding Photographers”, by the Washingtonian Magazine in 2009, received the “2010 Bride’s Choice Award” by Wedding Wire, and was named “Best of Wedding Photographers” by The Knot. Something I learned on their site that is very cool is that the studio is 100% carbon neutral. Through carbonfund.org, the studiooffsets all of their carbon impact in their offices and for all travel for both meetings and events.  They use an eco-friendly photo lab for developing that is also carbon-neutral, and use recycled products whenever possible for their packaging and promotional materials.  If you’re looking at Virginia Wedding Photographers already, consider using this studio because of their commitment to green initiatives. Every little bit really does help.

There are five photographers available at the Roman Grinev Photography Studio. You select which one you want to work with ahead of time, as opposed to some studios that assign you a photographer.
