Promote Yourself with Personalized Promotional Products

If you are looking for an inexpensive way to advertise your business, organization, or event besides business cards, consider using promotional, personalized items like pens, cups, mugs, and other frequently-used items.  Amsterdam Printing has been in business for over 110 years and can guide you to the right product for your budget, taste, and occasion.

Have you ever been in line behind someone at the post office and heard them muttering to themselves about needing a pen? What a great time to whip out your custom imprinted pen advertising your business! They might not notice it right away, but research shows that people do remember the names of of businesses on promotional products and will often do business with them.  With prices as low as $.59 each for personalized pens, you can afford to keep extras on hand to pass out wherever you are!

My boys go through a ton of pencils, and if they get one from a visitor to their school, they usually show it to me. Which leads me to another of Amsterdam Printing’s products – personalized pencils.  From my time spent in the PTA, I know that fundraising provides a lot of money to schools, and coming up with products that kids will buy is tricky. Bic #2 pencils are $.39 each if you buy 500, and since you can sell them at school for $.50 each, you make a profit.  Get the pencils with the name of your school on them, and kids will snap them up at a fundraiser!

For more promotional item ideas, check out GOPromos.com for mugs, stress balls, travel items, even dark chocolate covered cookies stamped “Thank You”.  There are just tons of ways to get the name of your business, organization or event seen by all kinds of people, for not a whole lot of money!  (By the way, for the bloggers reading this, if you are going to a blogging event or conference, make sure to check the rules first before ordering promotional items. They are not allowed at BlogHer, for example.)

While not quite as imperative as it used to be with the age of the internet, personalized products are still nice in my opinion. Particularly, if you are smaller local business.

These types of items are great for local businesses that are out physically meeting and greeting potential customers.
