We’re going on week two of three out of five of us being sick with bad colds. Kaitlyn’s nose has been running constantly, my nose is stuffed up and my sinuses are killing me, and Ryan has a heavy cough. It’s fun around here! I feel like I should just wake up in the morning and put on a Nursing Uniform, tie a mask around my face, and start dispensing Sudafed and Children’s Tylenol and cough drops.
Now that I think about it, why don’t companies market hospital scrubs to stay at home Moms? Think about it! They slip on easily for Moms who can barely get dressed before they’ve had coffee in the morning, they hold up to a ton of washing which is good for when a kid with chocolate pudding on their hand decides to use our legs as a napkin, and they come in a bunch of cute colors and patterns! Scrubs should totally be the new Mom uniform, don’t you think? ![]()

Ugh, we’re suffering from colds, too. I’m pretty comfy and warm in my microfleece though!

It is amazing how the colds are always going around at this time of year. As if February itself were not bad enough, with the winter doldrums. Then, there always has to be the cold and flu going around, too. Hope your family is up and better soon!
I have friends in Europe that get sick with colds while I’m in North America hacking and coughing with my family. Winter is a harsh time for so many people.
Also, I just want to add that it’s difficult to believe that international travel by airplane is responsible for the incredible timing of the colds/flu.
