Petz Nursery 2 for Nintendo DS

Petz Nursery 2 is the latest in the series of Nintendo DS games by Ubisoft that let players care for virtual baby animals. It’s one of Kaitlyn’s favorite DS games because of the cute baby animals she gets to take care of.   There are 22 baby “petz” to unlock in this game. Along with puppies and kittens, you’ll eventually unlock polar bears, wolf cubs, ducklings, piglets, baby pandas, tiger cubs, even four different breeds of penguins!

One difference between this game and the original Petz Nursery is the ability to take care of two animals at the same time. It’s so cute to watch them meet each other,  play together and they even try to eat each other’s food! Every time that happens Kaitlyn cracks up!

Petz Nursery 2 has players care for their petz, which means feeding them, playing with them, giving them a shower, teaching them to crawl, and putting them to sleep. Kaitlyn’s favorite activities are giving the petz their shower, blowing up balloons by blowing into the DS microphone,  and playing a game where you shake a rattle to get the petz attention. The longer you keep them happy, the more they grow!

I recommend Petz Nursery 2 for ages five and up.It’s rated “E” for everyone. Suggested retail price is $29.99 but it’s only $18.99 from Amazon.com. Guest Post: Is Laser Hair Removal For You? Considerations and Options

Laser hair removal can be a great option for permanently removing unwanted hair, especially with the advent of increasingly affordable home laser hair removal systems and devices (link is to a buyer’s guide) that cost thousands less than the full course of salon treatments, yet are equally effective. But it can’t be used by everyone. For those who are not good candidates, there are other options, such as new devices that use a galvanic current. Is one of these devices for you? Read below for important considerations.

(1) Laser removal isn’t fast: It can take up to 9-12 months of treatments to see results from laser hair removal. The laser can permanently remove all hair for some people, but for others it might not be fully effective. However, for nearly everyone who is a good candidate, even when full removal does not occur, it normally results in thinner and slower growing hair.

(2) Laser removal is limited to those who have a lighter skin tone and preferably have darker hair. The laser works by targeting pigment, so darker hair on lighter skin responds the best and is most likely to be permanently removed. Laser removal is not safe for use on dark skin.

(3) Laser devices should not be used on facial hair, because the laser can harm the eyes. However, it can be used quite well on the legs, underarm area, bikini area, chest, and back.

Laser hair removal can be done in a spa or salon, which normally gets rather expensive over time. But interested people should also look to home laser hair removal reviews for in home devices that range in price from $395-$499. For those who have dark skin, wish to remove facial hair, or who want more affordable options under $100, some newer galvanic current options also exist. Kaitlyn and I have enjoyed watching this DVD together, I’ll admit I think it’s pretty cute. Even if the theme song does get totally stuck in my head :)   Each episode is only 11 minutes long, which is great for when she asks for TV before bed.  The whole DVD is an hour long.  At just $9.99, you could even get this DVD as a surprise for an Easter basket!
