After having two boys, I have to admit I enjoy having a girl with long hair I can style and accessorize. Most days I use a small ponytail holder to pull back the top half of Kaitlyn’s hair, or sometimes I do a whole ponytail. I’ve tried barrettes, but they just slide right out. I had never been able to put the bows that are attached to clips in her hair. Then I got an email from Crystal at Spoiled Much about reviewing a bow from her site, and I learned that there ARE bows that will stay in Kaitlyn’s hair!
Crystal sent Kaitlyn a Lovely Layers bow attached to a french barrette, and it is GORGEOUS. It’s got three narrow ribbons in light pink, brown, and darker pink, three wider ribbons in those same colors, a ribbon with flowers and stripes, and a clear crystal gem securely glued to the front. Most importantly, it’s secured to what’s called a french barrette, which has a sort of spring inside that squeeze the hair between the clip and holds it in tight. Kaitlyn never stops moving, and that bow does not slide out!
Every time she wears it, at least one person stops me to ask where I found such a beautiful bow!
When you order from Spoiled Much, you are purchasing a hair accessory that is handmade and one of a kind. Bows come in two sizes, you can choose an alligator clip, a french barrette, or a headband, you choose the colors, and the prices are really reasonable. For example, a 3.5 inch Lovely Layers bow on an alligator clip or french barrette is $6.75, and a 4.5 inch bow is $9.75, plus shipping. I’ve seen large bows like these at Craft shows for as much as $15.00!
I took some close up pictures of the back of the bow so you could see the french barrette -
It’s obvious that Crystal and Kimberly put a lot of love and care into everything they make. Visit spoiledmuch.com to see all the handmade items they sell, like Spoiled Much on Facebook, and check out the Spoiled Much blog, too.
