The Collection app for iPad

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Ogilvy Interactive for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

On April 12th a new app launched for the iPad that is unlike any app you’ve evern seen. Called the collection, it’s a monthly “appazine” that focuses on one globally relevant topic each month. Available in English, German, French, and Chinese, this app + magazine looks at all angles of a topic and gives users interactive options for exploring it, through media like text, video, photography, audio, panoramic photography, 3-D,  and animation.

For the inaugural issue, the collection chose a very hot topic – the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Focusing on Prince William, second in line to the throne and now a newlywed, The Collection provides a closer look at the Royal Family, including a view of the vast amount of land the Windsors own and a lengthy inside portrait of William.

Watch the Royal Wedding, play around with the Crown Jewels, and learn about the life of a royal photographer.  Click to see William in various sporting outfits, and explore the Royal Family tree. All that for only $4.99 on iTunes!

Unfortunately for me, I missed an opportunity to enter to win an iPad that I could have used to see The Collection for myself :(    Bummer.  I’ll just have to watch for another chance to win one!

This app seems like it will be of some use. I don’t know about the $4.99 but it’s worth looking into. Thanks for the share.
