U-Save Discount Car Rental Site Review

When I went to Gleek Retreat ’11 two weekends ago, I rented a car from Hertz at the airport. I felt so spoiled driving a brand new Chevy HHR with XM satellite radio and automatic controls for pretty much everything.  I think Hertz’s prices are pretty reasonable, but when I drive to Chicago in July for the Brands & Bloggers Summit,  I’m thinking I’ll shop around for a lower price. Even renting a compact car gets expensive for three days, plus having to fill up the gas tank.

There’s a chain of discount car rental places called U-Save Car & Truck Rental, but unfortunately the only one in Michigan is in a town a couple of hundred miles North of here. They’ve been in business since 1979 and have around 188 locations, so for those of you reading this who need to rent a car and want to check rates, head over to usave.com and click “Find a U-Save” in the top right corner to see if there is one near you.

You can also click the link for “Star Locations” at the bottom of the page to go directly to a list of locations organized by state. Create an online account by click the Join the Club link and you’ll become a site member, which gets you notifications of special offers and saves time with the reservation process.  I wish someone would open a U-Save franchise here in Lansing!

  2. Yeah I agree with Mike this was a useful post

  3. I usually use a town car when travelling, but renting a really fancy car and drive seems really inviting as well.
