Disney Channel Original Movie Lemonade Mouth Now On DVD

Lemonade Mouth is the newest Disney Channel Original Movie, and it’s already proving to be a big hit with tweens and teens! It stars stars Disney Channel regulars Bridgit Mendler as singer/songwriter Olivia (Good Luck Charlie, Wizards of Waverly Place), Adam Hicks as keyboard player/rapper Wen (Zeke and Luther, Jonas), Hayley Kiyoko as guitarist Stella (Wizards of Waverly Place), actor Blake Michael as drummer Charlie, and newcomer Naomi Scott as bassist Mo. These five high school each have their own personalities and problems, but when they meet while serving detention in their school’s rundown music room, they discover they can each play an instrument and decide to form a band. Lemonade Mouth was released on DVD May 24th, in a 2-Disc Extended edition that includes the DVD and a Digital Copy.

Lemonade Mouth is 2011’s No. 1 cable movie in Total Viewers and the No. 1 TV movie among Kids 6-11 and Tweens. Additionally, Lemonade Mouth’s original soundtrack also has become a huge success, ranking in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200 for two weeks, No. 1 on the iTunes Soundtrack chart and No. 4 on the iTunes Album chart. What really makes this movie one to watch is the music. According to a cast interview, each of the actors is also a musician in real life, so they aren’t just acting, they are really performing! Bridgit Mendler just signed a deal with Hollywood Records, and Naomi and Blake revealed in the interview that Adam made up all of his character’s raps. You have to hear him rap on Determinate, it’s amazing!
