When I bought wedding rings I must admit, gold was my first choice as I seem to get skin allergies when wearing anything else, however a palladium ring does have it’s benefits. I live in London and the chances of someone trying to swipe your gold ring are much higher than if you are wearing something that looks like silver from a distance even though it’s worth more than silver. Perhaps platinum is even better as it’s price per kilo is on par with gold.

I might be old-fashioned but I do not quite see the point of white metal wedding bands.
White metal to me is cold an unappealing and may be overlooked as a wedding band whereas everyone knows what a gold ring is on the third finger left hand.
