Botox, Things to Think About Before Diving In

Sarah Beauty

Botox is far more widely available to us than ever before and there are more and more people who are looking to this treatment to reverse the signs of aging. Many years ago we heard about this age-defying product when celebrities had it done and it seemed like some kind of weird and wonderful solution which was exclusively for the rich and famous. As with most things though, demand increased, so too did supply and now you can get a botox treatment just about anywhere in the world that you go.

Throughout the years, we have seen many celebrities who’s faces have been ruined by age-reversing treatment and very often these negative results are completely irreversible, with this in mind then, there are some important considerations to make before you decide to have botox.

What is it?

If you aren’t aware of what botox is, it is basically a serum which is injected into the skin to improve tension of the skin and to give a fuller look. Botox can also help to boost your skin cells and the production of collagen within the skin which helps your skin to look younger, fresher and fuller.

Therapist

If you do decide to have botox you must ensure that you choose a therapist who has a very good track record. Very often the reason of bad reactions to botox is because of one of two things. The first issue is that the human body can have a reaction to botox and a good therapist will always test you first. The second thing that commonly goes wrong with botox is the way in which it is stored, if not stored correctly, the solution will go bad and then it will react differently when it is injected under the skin.

Duration

If you have botox today for assigned even which is coming up, that is fine and over the following three months your body will slowly ingest the botox and your face will return to normal. If you want to make this a permanent thing then you will need to go back in 3 or 4 months for further treatment. The problem however is that after so many botox injections, the botox will no longer be ingested by the body and the form of your face will be altered. With this in mind it is always worth having a length discussion with your therapist about how best to go about your treatment.

Cost

Even if you are on a budget, you should never try to save money on treatments such as these. What you will find is that those who are charging a very low price, are likely doing so to either fix a bad reputation, or doing so because they have found a different solution other than botox to use. Either way, these are the places that you should stay away from when it comes to your treatment. If you want the best look, be prepared to pay for it.
