THE FIRST DVD RELEASE OF THE NEWEST MY LITTLE PONY ADVENTURES!

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: The Friendship Express came out on DVD on February 28th 2012 from Shout! Factory in collaboration with Hasbro Studios. All three of my kids LOVE MLPFiM, even my teen sons! They were excited when we got this DVD to review.

Featuring 5 pony-riffic episodes, Friendship is Magic: The Friendship Express also has bonus features such as Meet the Ponies, sing-a-longs and coloring sheets. It will also include “Yipper Caper,” the very first episode of the new Pound Puppies series.

In My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: The Friendship Express, the benevolent Princess Celestia, ruler of Equestria, selects unicorn Twilight Sparkle for a very important assignment – to learn about the most important magic of all: friendship. With her new friends, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, Twilight sets out on amazing adventures, and they all learn what it means to be true friends.

VeggieTales: Robin Good and His Not-So-Merry Men is a fun parody that features plenty of high-energy, family-friendly music, including a new Silly Song with a theme that was selected through a recent online fan contest. The episode also includes the animated short, “Lenny & the Lost Birthday,” which also helps teach lessons about handling hurt and forgiveness. DVD Synopsis:

Larry and his friends are moving, so they wrap all the dishes and breakables in bubble wrap. Then they sing and even rap about how fun it is to pop bubble wrap!

Our review: I was introduced to VeggieTales when Ryan and Nathan were little, and for years, we had the movies and the CDs on constant repeat. It’s so wonderful that Big Idea Entertainment is still making movies all these years later that I can watch with Kaitlyn! As a kindergartener, she isn’t yet familiar with the story of Robin Hood and his “stealing from the rich to give to the poor” story, so I did have to pause and quickly explain. She thought it was wrong of the Prince to steal the hams, and she thinks it was wrong of Robin’s friends to steal from the rich people, so I think she gets the message
