New Trellis Slant Tweezer from Tweezerman

Tweezerman‘s new Trellis Slant Tweezer features a trellis pattern that is one of the “hot” patterns in popular culture right now, so it brings beautiful styling to the global award-winning stainless steel Slant Tweezer.  I have to confess that I have been buying cheap drugstore tweezers for years, but I’ve also known that Tweezerman tweezers are sharper and more precise. I just didn’t think spending the extra money made that much of a difference. Now that I’ve tried the Tweezerman Slant Tweezer, I know that it really DOES make a difference!

The problem with cheap drugstore tweezers is that they have a dull tip that at least on my skin, tends to pull the skin along with the hair. I have little marks under my eyebrows where skin came off with the hair.  Tweezerman sent me the Slant Tweezer and the first time I used it, I was amazed at how it gripped just the hair and pulled it out cleanly without any skin pulling.

The reason why it works so well is because the Slant Tweezer features a hand-filed ti[p that’s perfectly aligned to precisely grab every hair.  The Slant Tweezer is the choice of make-up artists, models, celebrities, and the most discerning beauty enthusiasts. And now, ME!

Available in sky blue, neon pink and bright green, look for the Trellis Slant Tweezer at Sephora stores and Sephora.com.  Trust me when I say that the $25.00 price is totally worth it if you need to tweeze and don’t want to pull your skin out too!

Household Tip: How To Set Up Bunk Beds So They Are Safe

When my youngest son outgrew his crib, we were living in a small house and the boys were sharing a room. There wasn’t really room for two twin beds side by side, so we bought bunk beds. It surprised me when Nathan, who was only 3.5 at the time, wanted to be the one who slept on the top!

Bunk beds come with directions on how to put them together, but there are some tips I want to pass on that I’ve learned over the years. If not set up correctly, bunk beds can be dangerous, so please continue reading to learn how to make sure bunk beds are set up safely.

It’s generally recommended that you put the bunk bed up against a wall to provide support. If possible, put it in a corner of the room so that the bunks are supported on two sides. Push the bunk beds right up against the wall so your child doesn’t roll over and end up between the bed and the wall!

English: Aboard SS Stevens, showing bunk beds ...

Bunk beds are adjustable in terms of height, but it’s important to leave another room for your child to sit all the way up without bumping their head on the ceiling. Make sure the ladder is SECURELY fastened to the frame. Ours came with two bolts, and my husband put in extra ones just to be sure. You can’t be too careful.

When you buy your bunk beds, it’s a good idea to buy the mattress the store sells for it as well. Bunk bed mattresses are a little wider than standard twins, at least mine are, so that there isn’t a gap between the mattress and the frame. A small child could roll and get stuck.

I hope these tips help those of you considering putting bunk beds in a child’s room! Do you use bunk beds? Have you had any problems with yours? Let me know in a comment!
