Above Ground Pools and Supplies from Pc Pools.com

With temperatures ranging in the 90s and even 100s,  now is the perfect time to buy an above ground pool. PCPools.com has everything you need, from the pool to cleaning supplies to pool covers.  They’re having a storewide sale and offering free shipping!

Pc Pools offers quality pool supplies at warehouse direct prices. They carry trusted brand names of swimming pool supplies and equipment and have a large inventory of everything you need to set up and maintain your own pool. Doesn’t that sound heavenly, having your own pool?!

Pc Pools asked me to check out their site, and my first reaction is that I love the bright colors of the site. It’s easy to navigate and find sales on just what you need. Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page for the sitemap, including links to learn more about the company, read testimonials, contact customer services, request a catalog, and much more.

In addition to pools, equipment and supplies, PcPolls.com also sells spas and saunas, as well as covers, chemicals, and accessories for them. They carry pool floats, loungers, and pool toys like water basketball sets. Check out the toddler swim aides like life vests and swim trainers, and the aqua fitness equipment, too.

I’m recommending Pc Pools to MomReviews readers because it appears to be a quality site with great sale prices and a wide selection. Check them out for yourself if you’re in the market to buy an above ground pool, equipment, or supplies!

Shop at Home for Modern Furniture

This post brought to you by 24/7 Shop at Home.

We have a really motley collection of hand-me-down furniture. The sofa in our playroom has got to be 20 years old, our living room couch is at least 10, and the green La-Z Boy recliner I’m sitting in right now is probably also 10 and also has a huge rip right down the center of the seat.  Sigh.  I would love to be able to get all new furniture, something more modern that doesn’t scream “we’ll happily take that old couch off your hands”.

I also wish we had one of those pull-out couches, because when the boys have friends sleep over, one of them has to sleep on the couch back there and I know it’s not that comfortable. I would love to get a modern sofa bed like this one from 24/7 Shop at Home, although definitely not in white!

I also desperately need a frame for Kaitlyn’s bed, which is currently a (looks around, whispers) mattress on the floor. I know, I know! But when we moved her from her toddler bed to a twin size because our friends were having a baby and needed a toddler bed to get their little one out of the crib, we just put the mattress on the floor and figured we’d get a frame and box spring “soon”. How absolutely gorgeous is this?

24/7 Shop at Home does have a great selection of living room, dining room, bedroom, and kitchen furniture, plus home decor, organizing, and storage. And they ship for only $2.99 in the Continental U.S.! Check out the site for your furniture shopping needs.

Long Term Car or Van Rental a Great Option for the Summer

Rental Car Center - George Bush Intercontinent...

Having grown up in Michigan, where everyone drives everywhere, I was surprised when I first learned that in cities like New York, people often don’t own cars (or even learn to drive!). Instead, when they need a vehicle for the weekend or for the summer to go back and forth to the beach, they use long term car rental.  I occasionally rent a car to drive to Chicago and back, so I checked the Hertz site and sure enough, the longer you keep your rental car, the cheaper it gets. In fact, Hertz allows you to rent a car for up to eleven months!

That got me thinking about reasons why someone might need a rental car for a long period of time.  My husband occasionally travels to another state for his job and sometimes is gone a couple of weeks. Since the hotels are never within walking distance of the job site, he rents a car.  So that’s one reason, long business trips.

A long term van rental would be an option for a family planning a long summer vacation with lots of driving who needs a bigger vehicle to hold kids and suitcases and all the stuff that everyone needs.  It’s really almost like leasing a car, except when you’re done with it, you just turn it back in!

Renting would also be a great way to see if you like a car or van before you commit to a purchase. It could also be a way to drive a more expensive car with less of a monthly payment than if you bought that same car.  Want a convertible for the summer? Rent one!  Show up at your high school class reunion in a sports car, or haul the soccer team around in a van for the summer, without the hassle of buying.  I think it’s a great idea!
