Advertisers, spread the word with IZEA
Written by Elizabeth on July 6, 2008 – 12:25 am -Today’s savvy advertiser knows that blog marketing is a great way to reach a broad target audience with information about their products or services. IZEA offers advertisers a wide variety of Social Media Marketing services through both PayPerPost and Social Spark, including blog posts, blog sponsorships, product sampling, and free blog “sparks”.
It’s super easy for advertisers to create a campaign, describing the requirements for the post, specifying links and anchor text, minimum number of words required, minimum Page Rank, the categories of blogs that can take the opportunity, even required images. Once the opportunity is shown in the PayPerPost Marketplace, qualified bloggers reserve the opportunities, write their posts, and submit them for approval.
This year, through Social Spark, IZEA began offering a unique way for advertisers to offer blog sponsorships through a banner ad that appears at the bottom of qualified blogs, or through a splash page. Pricing is daily and is dynamic, meaning the advertiser can choose how much of their advertising dollars are spent each day. In addition, the post opportunities on Social Spark can be set up to be spread out rather than taken all at once, giving the advertiser more exposure over a period of time.
Having participated in the PayPerPost Marketplace as well as on Social Spark, I have seen my share of great advertising campaigns that delivered excellent value to the advertisers. I encourage any company, large or small, who is looking for a new way to use Social Media to market themselves, to look into becoming an Advertiser with PayPerPost.

Snapbomb-upfront blog advertising
Written by Elizabeth on June 26, 2008 – 8:56 pm -
I’m always checking out new blog advertising sites to see what they have to offer, and most of the time I leave disappointed. Either the topics are of no interest to me or there’s something about the company that seems shady. Snapbomb caught my eye because they tell you right upfront how the site works. Snapbomb offers advertisers a way to create buzz about their websites, products or services through creating opportunities for bloggers who are experts in that category. Most bloggers are already writing their opinions of products, companies, and events, reaching hundreds and even thousands of readers, so why not get paid by a company to do what you are already doing?
I created an account with Snapbomb and the first thing I noticed that is very different from all the other pay-to-blog sites is that Snapbomb tells you right up front that you won’t get paid a lot of money to start. Once I placed a snippet of code into each of my templates, I immediately was shown a payment range that I can expect to earn based on my traffic and rankings. Snapbomb editors review and provide you with feedback and a rating to get you started. You have full editorial control over your content and reviews.
Table for Five, $7.40 to $29.60. MomReviews, $5.47 to $21.88. Getting My Blog On, my smallest blog? $0.09 to $0.36. Now I’m not interested in writing something and only getting paid nine cents, so that is an incentive to me to work on getting more backlinks and traffic to that blog. Each blog’s base value is based on its traffic, ranking and audience, and the best part is that this blog value is adjusted for every single opportunity or campaign based on targeting parameters provided by the advertiser. Advertisers get a free analytics tool called “buzz analytics” that shows them which blogs provided the best return on their investment, allowing them to then select those bloggers again for their next campaign.
I’m excited about joining Snapbomb! I like the idea of not having to compete with thousands of other bloggers for the same few opportunities, and I like knowing that the advertisers will actually be READING what I write for them. And yep, I like getting paid once in a while to spread the word about a hot new product or website! If you like giving your opinion and want to join a program that is completely upfront about what they do, check out Snapbomb!
