Get help finding a job with Lightship Research

Did you know that according to surveys, as many as 85% of job openings are unadvertised? Employers can be too busy to advertise,  or find that it’s not cost effective for all the work that goes into posting jobs, dealing with incoming resumes, interviewing, and following up.

LIGHTSHIP RESEARCH has come up with a new approach they call “Reverse Search Philosophy”. They help you identify the specific people who have the power to hire you for the jobs you are interested in, then coach you on how to get your information to those people.

Can Lightship Research really help find people jobs? Read this testimonial:

I got laid off as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing of a new media company in the Bay area. I was recommended by a recruiter to call Lightship Research to help me with my job search, as I wanted to relocate to New York City. I was a little skeptical at first, as I had always used traditional recruiters in the past, but they were not producing any interviews and I needed a job quickly. I spoke with a reference that had used their services and decided to give them a try. Their strategist was very knowledgeable and came up with some good ideas. They really know how to get under the radar and find companies, that you would never have thought of and then find the direct hiring authority. I got four interviews and an offer in 30 days (yes in this economy), which I accepted. Lightship Research http://www.lightshipresearch.com you rock!

This is a difficult time for anyone to be looking for a job so if you want to try a fresh approach, I encourage you to visit the Lightship Research website and see how they can help you.

Compare prices and save money with SHOP.com

We’re all stretching our dollars further and further, and Christmas shopping shouldn’t be the exception. You can find just the items you are looking for at the best prices possible by using comparison shopping site SHOP.com. It’s so easy to use, too.

Nathan has been asking for one thing over and over for Christmas, and that’s an Automoblox car. I went to SHOP.com and typed in Automoblox in the search bar, and got 27 matches. I sorted the matches by price: lowest to highest, and found the exact Automoblox Sports Car that Nathan wants, from a site called Flaghouse.

Now, what makes SHOP.com the most useful is their OneCart checkout. You can fill your shopping cart with items from different sites, and just make one payment for everything. That is so handy! If you don’t have a specific item in mind, you can use the Categories at the top of the site to browse departments, or look along the left side of the page for more links and buying guides.

Oh, and there’s a Music Shop where you can listen to music before you buy it! Very cool.  There are a few changes I would love to see, like having toddler and older kids’ clothes and shoes be in separate sections, or being able to search for toys by age, but for the most part, this site is very helpful and I highly recommend you look up whatever you have on your gift list on SHOP.com first before spending more money somewhere else!
