The second season of the hit show Brothers and Sisters is out on DVD now. The cast of this show is like a TV actors Dream Team: Sally Field, Ron Rifkin, Rob Lowe, Rachel Griffiths, Balthazar Getty, Patricia Wettig. The show centers around the Walker Family led by matriarch Nora Walker (Sally Field). She gets a romantic complication this season, with Danny Glover playing Isaac, her exact political opposite who charms her anyway, and Chevy Chase in a great guest role as Stan, her college boyfriend who left the U.S. to dodge the draft.

Calista Flockhart is Kitty Walker, Rob Lowe is the Republican Senator she works for (and has major chemistry with). Sarah (Rachel Griffiths) has lost custody of her kids, but is now running Ojai Foods, and trying to navigate through the family issues that accompany the family business. Uncle Saul (Ron Rifkin) might be gay. Iraq vet Justin (Dave Annable) might be falling off the wagon. Affairs are lurking around every corner, tempting just about every Walker at one time or another. This box set has five discs, four for the episodes and a fifth for bonus features, and they are really well done. There’s a Guest Book look at the special guest stars, “TV Dinners:Food From Season 2″ follows the food stylist from her kitchen to the set showing how she decides what food to put on the table (there’s a lot of eating in this show) and how it all comes together. “Open House-Designing The Brothers & Sisters Set” takes the viewer through the Walker home, and then my favorite, Bloopers & Outtakes. Fans of the show will appreciate these behind-the-scenes looks at the show. Here’s a clip from the “Open House” bonus feature, it’s a look at the set:
