Coupon Shack Site Review

When you shop online, it’s a smart idea to first check to see if there is an online coupon code available for the product or service you’re purchasing. I was offered a chance to review couponshack.com, which started as Coupon Monkey in 2003 and was founded by two friends with a $2.00 investment! Those friends, John McAliley and Sok Verdery, still run the company, and are providing online shoppers with multiple ways to find any and every deal that exists for a wide variety of stores and brands.

I like Coupon Shack’s layout. The blog-type format is familiar to me, my eyes immediately went to the tabs at the top and the social media links in the sidebar, and I really appreciate the HUGE search bar that goes almost all the way across the homepage.  It drives me nuts when I go to a consumer website and the search bar is teeny tiny and hard to find.  The homepage has featured deals, popular stores, and Hot Deals, which are mini blog posts that focus on one retailer and their offerings.

As a social media-savvy blogger, I appreciate that Coupon Shack is using Twitter and Facebook to reach out to users and reward them with exclusive coupons. Unfortunately, I ran into a major problem when I started clicking links on the site.  Almost every link I clicked from the “browse by brand” tab at the top went to a page that says An Error Occurred.  I also found links claiming to be a savings on a particular product that went to a page with nothing on it except a suggestion that readers share any coupon codes they knew of.  I hope John and Sok are working on making sure links work properly, as this could definitely turn away potential site users.

Please visit the site if you like saving money! This post was brought to you by my friends at CouponShack.com.

Find Shopping Deals and Coupons on Couponists

Save big on your holiday shopping by first searching for deals and coupons on Couponists.  Planning on going out on Black Friday to score big deals, or shop online from home on Cyber Monday? Couponists.com has a link to savings and free shipping offers from retailers like Verizon Wireless, Naturalizer, Kohl’s, and more.

Search for online deals and printable coupons any time in dozens of categories. Couponists has deals on cameras, electronics, jewelry, sporting goods, toys, and much more. There’s also a forum to discuss shopping and saving, and tips on making the most of deals.

My opinion of Couponists.com is that it’s very easy to search and use.  Visit the site yourself and see how much you can save!

Find Daily Deals and Sales on SaleCamel.com

SaleCamel.com rounds up thousands of deals and sales from over 100 of the largest, most respected online merchants and posts them on their comprehensive, easy to search site. Their Daily Deals are updated every FIVE minutes, so you are always seeing the newest, hottest sales!

The site makes it so easy to search for exactly the deals you are looking for. The dropdown menus on the left side let you sort postings by Newest Deals, Biggest Savings, Popularity, and Price from Low to High or High to Low. You can choose to see all the savings available or just the Daily Deals, search by percent off or price, browse the merchants by URL name, browse by category, or type in keywords to refine your search.

I did some poking around on the site and found some excellent deals. My favorites were 20% off the very popular Twinkle Toes shoes for toddlers by Skechers, 73% off an 18k Yellow Gold Plated Ruby and Emerald Flower pendant from Amazon.com’s jewelry site, and 17% off Wii games from CompUSA.com.

My recommendation is check your holiday shopping list against the deals on SaleCamel.com and see how much money you can save. Sign up for deal of the day email notifications, enter your search terms, and SaleCamel.com will notify you if a deal of the day website has the item on sale. The site is easy to navigate and really does have a whole lot of deals, so I hope you’ll check it out!
