Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair

This is the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair, which I received from Family Review Network:

It’s a one-piece, handheld, lightweight way to sweep pet hair off of your furniture. There’s a collecting chamber on top, and two roller brushes underneath.

This is our cat, Blackdrop. She lives on the top of our living room couch:

The Fabric Sweeper has arrows on the top to show you which way to move it across furniture. You use short strokes going back and forth, and the brushes pick up the pet hair and deposit it into the collection chamber. I found that it took some extra handling on my part to get the rollers to ‘let go’ of the pet hair, this is what they looked like after my first couple of swipes across the top of the couch:

The directions say to run the rollers over a clean part of the upholstery to get the hair moving into the collection chamber, but I chose to use my fingers to move the rollers, plus I had to pick a few extra-long dog hairs off. This was the collection chamber when I was done:

When the chamber is full, you throw it away. For a retail price of around $5.49, if you have pets, you need to keep one of these on hand. Not only does it make your furniture cleaner, but if someone calls and says hey, I’m on my way over to visit, it’s SO much easier to grab this than to drag out your whole vacuum cleaner hose attachment thingy just to de-fur your couch.

Is one of your New Year’s Resolutions to eat more healthfully, to eat less meals out, to save money on groceries? Thanks to Family Review Network, I had the opportunity to review an eBook that will guide you through doing all of that and more! Jamie Ussher wrote the eBook “A Month of Meals-Save Money This Month While Making Dinner Simpler!”, and it is jam-packed with recipes, shopping lists, menus, even printable charts for you to use to keep track of your daily servings of healthy foods.

In A Month of Meals, you receive…

Meals – a month of easy to fix and healthy meals your whole family will enjoy. Using the premise that we need more vegetables and whole grains, you end up saving money and there are great health benefits!

Recipes – quick and easy recipes put into a weekly schedule. There are even 6 meals that you can make ahead of time to freeze for your extra busy days when you don’t want to think about cooking at all!

Ingredients & Shopping Lists – these will make going to the grocery store a breeze (maybe even a fun trip)!

Jamie’s recipes are meant to serve four people, and include meals to freeze to eat later in the month or on days when you are crunched for time. She includes recipes for homemade convenience foods like baking mix and taco seasoning, and emphasizes the importance of drinking water, eating fruits and veggies, and limiting sweets. I think Jamie thought of everything with this eBook!

You can download this eBook at A Month of Meals and start saving money and time in the kitchen right now, for the super-low price of $19.95! She even offers an 8 week, 100% satisfaction guarantee!  I don’t think you’ll be asking for your money back though, I can pretty much guarantee that you will make back your $19.95 purchase price by purchasing less food that goes to waste within the first month you follow Jamie’s tips!

Pledge Review and Giveaway

This giveaway is closed. Congratulations to the winner, Janet from Grammy Janet’s Place. And thank you everyone who blogged, stumbled, subscribed, and tweeted this giveaway!
prod_natbeautyEven though there are store brands that are cheaper, I always buy Pledge furniture polish and dusting spray. It’s what my Mom always bought, and to me, the Lemon scent of it means the wood furniture is clean. I received a can of Pledge Natural Beauty, Pledge’s new Anti-Dust Formula with Allergen Trappers to try, courtesy of Pledge and Family Review Network. I’ve also got a can to give away.

This new formula from Pledge not only dusts, cleans, and polishes, it also keeps surfaces looking less dusty longer, and removes the allergens left on surfaces from pet dander and pollen. With a long-haired cat and a long-haired dog in the house, I sure need that! You can also use Pledge to clean and shine Stainless Steel (which I had never tried, and it really does work), Leather, Marble, and Granite.

WIN IT:  I’ve got a can of Pledge to give away so that the winner can see for themselves just how well Pledge dusts and shines.  For ONE ENTRY, visit the Pledge website, then come back here and leave a comment with your real first name or blog name, valid email address, and the answer to this question- what is one other Pledge product you saw on the site that you would like to try?  Enter by Monday, January 5th at 9:00 AM, open to US only.

EXTRA ENTRIES: I’ll give you one extra entry for each of the following that you do or have done:

  • Mention this giveaway on your blog with a link back to this post and a link to www.pledge.com
  • Stumble this post
  • Mention this giveaway on Twitter, leave your Twitter username in your comment (I’ll follow you if I don’t already)
  • Add Table for Five to your blogroll
  • Subscribe to my feed in a reader or by email
