Fashion Playtes is the first “make your own fashion” site I’ve ever seen that combines clothes kids will really want to wear with enough customizable options to make their garment totally unique to them!  Girls ages 6 to 14 will love choosing a piece of clothing in their favorite color, and then using easy scrolling and drag-and-drop to add ribbons, ruffles, rhinestones, appliques, even a custom label to make it uniquely theirs.

Fashion Playtes gave me a $50 credit so I could see the process for myself. You start out with what looks like a designer’s notebook, with sketches of garments on the left, and a photo of a child wearing the garment on the right so you can see the approximate fit.  

I chose the “Cassidy” dress in pink, then added a patterned ribbon at the waist and hemline, and a graphic that says “Dream/Create/Live” at the bodice.  It’s easy to add and remove the trims until you get the item just the way you want it, and you clearly see the price for each thing you are adding.  HINT-To find the Graphics and the Rhinestones, look for the yellow down arrow inside the purple circle below the Appliques link, and click it.

The final dress, after I added two pieces of ribbon and the graphic, is $29.50. Since I had credit left over, I also made a “Molly” bag with the same graphic on it as the dress.
