My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: The Friendship Express came out on DVD on February 28th 2012 from Shout! Factory in collaboration with Hasbro Studios. All three of my kids LOVE MLPFiM, even my teen sons! They were excited when we got this DVD to review.
Featuring 5 pony-riffic episodes, Friendship is Magic: The Friendship Express also has bonus features such as Meet the Ponies, sing-a-longs and coloring sheets. It will also include “Yipper Caper,” the very first episode of the new Pound Puppies series.
In My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: The Friendship Express, the benevolent Princess Celestia, ruler of Equestria, selects unicorn Twilight Sparkle for a very important assignment – to learn about the most important magic of all: friendship. With her new friends, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, Twilight sets out on amazing adventures, and they all learn what it means to be true friends.

My Little Pony: A Very Minty Christmas
It’s Christmas Eve in Ponyville and the ponies are decorating the town Christmas tree. The most important ornament on the tree is the “Here Come Christmas Candy Cane”, a glowing beacon which leads Santa Claus to Ponyville. Minty thinks the Candy Cane is slightly crooked so she tries to adjust it but it falls to the ground and shatters. She tries to tell Pinkie Pie what happened, but she can’t bring herself to admit what she did. And worst of all, now Santa won’t be able to find his way to Ponyville! Minty takes one of the Ponyville hot-air balloons and heads for the North Pole, where she hopes to guide Santa to Ponyville herself.
Before I had a daughter, I had always heard that some girls hit a certain age, discover ponies, and fall madly in love. That is exactly what happened with my daughter last year when she received a collection of My Little Ponies for Christmas. She carries three of her ponies everywhere we go, and when we discovered that there were My Little Pony DVDs, well, we knew she would love them, and we were right!
