I might be 43 years old, but I still get blackheads and the occasional pimple. I’ve spent I don’t know how much money on “blackhead clearing” and “acne preventing” cleansers and scrubs. I can’t even say if any of them would have worked, because they all dried my skin out so much I had to stop using them. If a product makes my skin peel, I’m not going to use it.
Stridex sent me a jar of their new Stridex Naturally Clear Pads, and after using just one, I have to say to Stridex, you have made a convert out of me. Stridex Naturally Clear pads are part of the only alcohol-free acne pad line, which includes Stridex Maximum Strength, Essential, and Sensitive. The pads are 20% larger than typical pads and the triangular shape makes it easier to get the corners of my nose. The pads are textured, yet soft.
What I like best about Naturally Clear is that it has three essential antioxidants – white tea, pomegranate, and soy, ingredients known to promote stronger, healthier skin and a smoth, more even complexion. The pads also contain 1% salicyclic acid to clear up and prevent breakouts. But because there’s no alcohol, the pads can be used frequently with no over-drying or irritating the skin.
The press release that came in the package with the Stridex pads kept using the word “teen”. But I have to say, this is a great product for breakout-prone adults, too. I swiped a pad over my skin since I wasn’t wearing makeup, and it felt great. I always thought the cooling feeling from skin care pads came from the alcohol, but this pad felt cool on my face. There was enough liquid on the pad to cover my entire face from top to bottom, side to side, plus all of my neck. 20 minutes later, I touched my face, and it felt smooth and oil-free. I’m a fan now!
Stridex products are available at most food, drug and mass merchandisers nationwide. Stridex Naturally Clear pads retail for $5.49 to $6.49 for 70 pads. Pick some up for your teen or for yourself!
