Attention Posties! There’s a new PayPerPost on it’s way!

If you’ve ever checked out PayPerPost, you know that the current system shows lists of paid post ‘opportunities’ and it’s up to the bloggers to grab the opps on a first-come, first-served basis. Well, all of that is about to change. PayPerPost has taken three years’ worth of user feedback and completely redesigned the model from the ground up. Say hello to PayPerPost v4.0:

The account bloggers create with v4.0 is unlike anything PayPerPost has ever done before.  The blogger completes a very quick and easy sign-up form including setting their OWN PRICE for sponsored links and their price PER WORD for a paid post.  The blogger’s profile also includes their desired category and a list of keywords related to their site. This helps match up the best advertisers for each blogger.

Best of all,  with the new PayPerPost, bloggers can choose for themselves whether they want the sponsored link(s) in each post to be Follow or NoFollow. Google prefers NoFollow and is less likely to penalize a blog for having sponsored posts if the links aren’t followed.

The site is still in Alpha testing, I have invite keys if anyone would like one. If you ask for one, keep in mind that you’ll be creating a PayPerPost account and will be in the marketplace for offers for advertisers. I have nine invites left so let me know in a comment if you want one!

Advertisers, spread the word with IZEA

Today’s savvy advertiser knows that blog marketing is a great way to reach a broad target audience with information about their products or services. IZEA offers advertisers a wide variety of Social Media Marketing services through both PayPerPost and Social Spark, including blog posts, blog sponsorships, product sampling, and free blog “sparks”.

It’s super easy for advertisers to create a campaign, describing the requirements for the post, specifying links and anchor text, minimum number of words required, minimum Page Rank, the categories of blogs that can take the opportunity, even required images. Once the opportunity is shown in the PayPerPost Marketplace, qualified bloggers reserve the opportunities, write their posts, and submit them for approval.

This year, through Social Spark, IZEA began offering a unique way for advertisers to offer blog sponsorships through a banner ad that appears at the bottom of qualified blogs, or through a splash page. Pricing is daily and is dynamic, meaning the advertiser can choose how much of their advertising dollars are spent each day. In addition, the post opportunities on Social Spark can be set up to be spread out rather than taken all at once, giving the advertiser more exposure over a period of time.

Having participated in the PayPerPost Marketplace as well as on Social Spark, I have seen my share of great advertising campaigns that delivered excellent value to the advertisers. I encourage any company, large or small, who is looking for a new way to use Social Media to market themselves, to look into becoming an Advertiser with PayPerPost.
