Citrusafe Cleaners from Bryson

When it comes to cleaning kitchen and appliance surfaces, it’s important to use products that are safe yet powerful. Bryson Industries sent me a selection of their Citrus-based cleaners, which are non-toxic, biodegradable, non-flammable, non-caustic and phosphate-free. The products are packaged in PET bottles with PET shrink-sleeve labels, so the whole container is recyclable.

The countertop cleaner and glass cooktop cleaner are the ones I’m using the most, and they both work really well.  I like the way the kitchen smells after I clean with Citrushine, and I feel good knowing that the countertops are clean but not covered in chemical residue.

You can buy Citrusafe and Citrushine products at stores like Best Buy, Lowe’s, Target, and Sears. Visit BrysonUSA.com for a store locator and more information on the products.

The Wonder Pets! Join The Circus

Wonder Pets Join The CircusThe Wonder Pets Join The CircusIt’s summer in Wonder Pets land, and school is out for the year. The pets sing about what summertime is, and wonder what they are going to do while the kids are on vacation. Apparently the teacher isn’t planning to take them home? Anyway, Ming Ming is looking for a new job for the Pets, something other than just saving animals in trouble. And then, the Circus Train rolls into town!

The Pets follow the train, and are asked by the penguin ringmaster to join the circus as performers. Linny’s not too sure but agrees because it’s important to his friends.  Linny spins plates on stalks of celery, Ming Ming twirls on a rope, and Tuck dresses up like a clown. Linny feels left out when Ming Ming and Tuck makes new friends, until he meets a monkey, a panda, and a tiger cub (who are totally adorable).

When the Wonder Pets have to save Linny’s new friends during a circus act, they remember how much they like working together as a team, and decide to go back to saving animals. Hooray!

On Monday I will be posting my questions to Josh Selig, creator of The Wonder Pets!, with his answers, so watch for that post!! Pick up your copy of The Wonder Pets!: Join the Circus on DVD,  the link goes right to Amazon if you want to have it shipped right to your door!

Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair

This is the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair, which I received from Family Review Network:

pledgesweeper1

It’s a one-piece, handheld, lightweight way to sweep pet hair off of your furniture. There’s a collecting chamber on top, and two roller brushes underneath.

This is our cat, Blackdrop. She lives on the top of our living room couch:

The Fabric Sweeper has arrows on the top to show you which way to move it across furniture. You use short strokes going back and forth, and the brushes pick up the pet hair and deposit it into the collection chamber. I found that it took some extra handling on my part to get the rollers to ‘let go’ of the pet hair, this is what they looked like after my first couple of swipes across the top of the couch:

The directions say to run the rollers over a clean part of the upholstery to get the hair moving into the collection chamber, but I chose to use my fingers to move the rollers, plus I had to pick a few extra-long dog hairs off. This was the collection chamber when I was done:

When the chamber is full, you throw it away. For a retail price of around $5.49, if you have pets, you need to keep one of these on hand. Not only does it make your furniture cleaner, but if someone calls and says hey, I’m on my way over to visit, it’s SO much easier to grab this than to drag out your whole vacuum cleaner hose attachment thingy just to de-fur your couch.

This post was written for Family Review Network as part of a program by SC Johnson, who also supplied the product for review and giveaway.
