List Your Product in the MomReviews Holiday Gift Guide!

If you represent a PR firm, marketing agency, are a direct representative for a company, are a website owner, or an independent seller, here’s how to get your product linked or reviewed here and seen by thousands of people in time for holiday shopping!

GET LINKED! email: elizabethreviews@gmail.com

The MomReviews Holiday Gift Guide will take two forms- a static page with a list of links, and individual reviews. To have your site linked, email me the name of your product, the category it falls under (book, toy, game, clothing, jewelry, etc.) and the complete HTML of your listing, including the URL and the link text. For example: <a href=”YOUR URL”>YOUR DESIRED TEXT</a>

There will be no charge for the link. The first set of links will be posted on November 2nd. Links received after that date will be posted December 7th.  The static page will stay up until January 4th, 2010.

GET REVIEWED! email: elizabethreviews@gmail.com

An individual review means your product will be thoroughly tested by any or all of my family.  The post will include a title with the name of your product, a link to your homepage, a second homepage or internal link, your logo or an image of the product, and a photo of us using the product.  In addition, your review link will be posted on the static Holiday Gift Guide Links Page, Facebook, Twitter, FriendFeed, MyBlogLog, and BlogCatalog. Stats available on request.

My family and I are experienced at reviewing pretty much anything. My family is my husband who is 41, myself (I’m 42), our boys Ryan and Nathan who will be 13 and 11 by Christmas, and our daughter Kaitlyn who will be 4 by Christmas. We love  toys, video and board games, clothing, food, websites, gadgets, personal care items, CDs, DVDs, books, pet treats (we have a dog and a cat) – email me and I’ll let you know if we are interested in reviewing your product!

LET ME HOST A GIVEAWAY AND GET SEEN BY EVEN MORE PEOPLE!!
email: elizabethreviews@gmail.com

In addition to sending us a product to review, you can also ask me to host a giveaway. In your email, tell me how many items you’d like me to give away, how many winners to pick, and the approximate retail value. I’ll host the giveaway, pick the winners using random.org, email them for their addresses, and email that information to you. Giveaway entrants can earn bonus entries by tweeting the giveaway link, which means their followers see the name of your product, and their followers see it, and so on. That puts the name of your product in the minds of thousands of people!

I had an incredible response to last year’s request for products to review, the sooner you get your request in, the sooner your product will be reviewed and get linked.  If you make or represent the newest, coolest, HOTTEST product for holiday gift giving, email me today!

I’m Blogging It, So That Means It’s Going To Happen

I am officially announcing to all of my readers that starting tomorrow, Tuesday, November 25th 2008, I am going to be posting EVERY SINGLE REVIEW I have agreed to do and EVERY SINGLE GIVEAWAY I have agreed to run. It might mean 5, 6, 7 posts a day, but I am going to do it until I am completely caught up.

Just wanted to let all of you know :)

Cabbage Patch Kids are back!

It’s the 25th Anniversary of the original release of Cabbage Patch Kids, and to celebrate, Limited Edition 25th Anniversary Cabbage Patch Kids are available, but only for a limited time. The special 25th Anniversary Kids are remakes of the original Kids, and they come packaged with a silver anniversary baby spoon and a special 25th Anniversary Birth Certificate with “Adoption Papers”.

Thanks to Team Mom, we received our Kid to much excitement. I was in High School in 1983, although I do remember the stories in the paper and on the news about people fighting over the last CK Kid on toy store shelves. Cabbage Patch Kids set off a frenzy among toy and doll collectors, and they were scooping up dolls, clothes, and accessories as fast as they could. I haven’t read or seen anything about any mania at stores this time around, so you should be able to get one without incident.

As you may know, Cabbage Patch Kids come with a birth certificate and a paper your child can sign to officially adopt their kid. But I have a confession to make- I can’t find the birth certificate! So, I can tell you that this is Mayme Lucille, but I can’t tell you when her “birthday” is.

Isn’t she cute? Kaitlyn likes playing “baby” with her, lying her down on a nest of blankets and covering her up for a “nap”. It’s been bugging me that the doll’s name is spelled “Mayme” and not “Mamie”, so I finally googled “cabbage patch kid mayme” and got a very interesting possible answer. It seems that Woody Kling, a very famous and highly acclaimed television writer who was the head writer for The Carol Burnett Show and All In The Family, also wrote the Cabbage Patch Kids Christmas Special for TV in 1983. His mother’s name was Mayme. Coincidence?

Check out the Cabbage Patch Kids website for information about the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition dolls, plus games and a lot more info. Thanks again to Team Mom for including me in this fun campaign!
