Use EnvyDerm once a day before bedtime and you should begin to see the lash line becoming thicker, fuller and healthier looking in as little as 2 weeks! In a clinical study, users saw a 25 percent increase in eyelash length! EnvyDerm will continue to prove results over time if used on a consistent basis.

SnackTime Survival Kit:  $49.95

Features one working clock, 3 control clocks with moveable arms, and 3 corresponding hooks to hold snack cards in place.

On the front of each of the 33 snack cards are pictures of delicious snacks to choose from. On the back is important tips and information to learn from. Each morning, the parent or caregiver selects between 4-6 snack cards that are available to make that day from the deck. From these cards, kids can choose their 3 snacks for that day. The parent sets the control clocks to the desired snack times and hangs the snack cards on the corresponding hooks. When the time on one of the snack hooks matches the control clock, it’s snacktime!

Isn’t that a great idea? I asked KMR if I could get one to review because I’m tired of my 3 kids being in the kitchen constantly all day. I told them we were going to set specific snack times and in between, the kitchen is CLOSED!  I’ll let you know how that works :)   Learn more at www.beanstalkexpress.com

My Beautiful Mommy” by Dr. Michael Salzhauer: Ground-Breaking New Children’s Book on Plastic Surgery $19.95

Dr. Salzhauer was inspired to write “My Beautiful Mommy” after his four-year-old daughter bombarded him with questions regarding his own nose job. He also noticed that many of his clients came into his office with inquisitive kids in tow – and mothers not knowing how to handle their questions appropriately.  According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, in 2007, one third of the 348,000 breast augmentations and 148,000 tummy tucks were “mommy makeovers,” or surgeries designed for women seeking to restore sagging body parts due to aging or pregnancy weight gain. “Plastic surgery among women, especially mothers post-pregnancy, is very popular and becoming a common reality. Cosmetic surgery can be a difficult topic to understand for adults; and even more so for young children. I wanted to provide my patients and other parents with a tool that speaks to kids in a kid-friendly way.” A book summary and a complete bio of the author are also available at www.mybeautifulmommy.com.

Guest Post: Is Laser Hair Removal For You? Considerations and Options

Laser hair removal can be a great option for permanently removing unwanted hair, especially with the advent of increasingly affordable home laser hair removal systems and devices (link is to a buyer’s guide) that cost thousands less than the full course of salon treatments, yet are equally effective. But it can’t be used by everyone. For those who are not good candidates, there are other options, such as new devices that use a galvanic current. Is one of these devices for you? Read below for important considerations.

    (1) Laser removal isn’t fast: It can take up to 9-12 months of treatments to see results from laser hair removal. The laser can permanently remove all hair for some people, but for others it might not be fully effective. However, for nearly everyone who is a good candidate, even when full removal does not occur, it normally results in thinner and slower growing hair.

    (2) Laser removal is limited to those who have a lighter skin tone and preferably have darker hair. The laser works by targeting pigment, so darker hair on lighter skin responds the best and is most likely to be permanently removed. Laser removal is not safe for use on dark skin.

    (3) Laser devices should not be used on facial hair, because the laser can harm the eyes. However, it can be used quite well on the legs, underarm area, bikini area, chest, and back.

Laser hair removal can be done in a spa or salon, which normally gets rather expensive over time. But interested people should also look to home laser hair removal reviews for in home devices that range in price from $395-$499. For those who have dark skin, wish to remove facial hair, or who want more affordable options under $100, some newer galvanic current options also exist. See the previous review link for a look at all of the top products.

New Carmex Healing Lotion and Cream Review

Carmex Lotion and CreamThis is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Carmex®. All opinions are 100% mine. The last time I used a Carmex product was five years ago, after having Kaitlyn, when the nurses in the hospital gave me Carmex lip balm. I had forgotten all about that until I was chosen by Carmex to participate in a review of their new products. As soon as I smelled the new Carmex Healing Lotion, I instantly remembered that lip balm!

New Carmex® Healing Lotion and Carmex® Healing Cream are the latest products from this family-owned and operated company. Alfred Woelbing invented Carmex lip balm in 1937, literally on his family’s stovetop. For 20 years, he and his wife made Carmex lip balm by hand, pouring it into the familiar yellow-topped jars! The company is now owned and operated by Alfred’s grandsons in Franklin, Wisconsin.

Now, Carmex introduces two new ways to keep your skin soft, with their new Healing Lotion and Healing Cream. I received full-size tubes of both for review, along with a travel size tube of the Healing Lotion. The Healing Lotion is designed for daily use, with aloe and vitamin E to nourish, moisturize, and protect your skin. It’s my favorite of the two because it absorbs quickly, makes my hands feel instantly softer, and has a light amount of the fragrance.

The Carmex Healing Cream is the one you want to get for heavy-duty moisturizing. It’s super-thick, concentrated so you only need to use a small amount,  and has 9 healing ingredients that penetrate and help repair very dry skin.  However, it has a REALLY strong smell. I use it on my feet at night but not on my hands because the smell is just too strong for me. I’ll tell you what though – it works. My heels and the bottoms of my big toes get insanely dry in the winter, and since I started using the Carmex Healing Cream at night, maybe a couple of times a week, I’m seeing a difference already.

Carmex asked what I thought of the packaging – it’s nice to have lotion that isn’t in a white tube for a change! I don’t know who decided that lotion needed to come in white tubes and bottles, but the pretty yellow Carmex tubes stand out on my shelf and make me more likely to reach for them!

Carmex Healing Lotion and Carmex Healing Cream are available for $5.99 at Walgreens, Walgreens.com, and drugstore.com. If you’re a fan of the lip balm, I recommend trying the lotion and cream too!
